Curious if anyone has tried, or has an opinion on a method I'm considering trying out with SR and 7oh.
So, I'm struggling with tapering my 7oh dose. Id like to be at a much lower dose when I use SR to jump off 7oh. Right now, I take between 200 and 250mg of 7oh a day. I'm wondering if it would be unwise to do a short 3 to 5 day SR run where I'll drop my habit in half. Basically take SR very briefly to rapidly taper and stabilize my 7oh dose around 100 to 120mg per day and then stay at that 7oh dose for a couple weeks to a month, then use SR again for another 5 to 10 days in order to jump off from about 100mg per day.
Is there any reason not to try and use SR in this manner? My logic is that I'll use the SR to cut down my dose so my stash lasts a bit longer giving me time to mentally accept that this ride has ended, and I'll have enough time to get SR out of my system before I use it a second time.
Ideally I'd just do the short run to cut my daily dose once, but would there be an issue with me maybe doing a short run twice and jump from 100mgpd down to like 50mgpd and then jump off 7 with SR from there?
I hope my question makes sense. I want to do one or two short SR runs to drop my dose down and stabilize, then use SR again and eventually do a 10 or less day run and jump off. My curiosity is whether using it that way could have any downsides I'm not considering. Is there anyone who's done something like what I've described?
Or would I be better off just jumping off from about 200mg per day using SR for 10 days or less?
I tried a practice run with SR around October last year and it took me 5 weeks to actually jump off 7oh. I wasnt aware SR could cause dependency when I did that run and I never tested out if I'd have had SR withdrawal because after a week of no 7oh and maybe one day, possibly two, I can't remember, but i didnt use SR a day or two then I went right back on 7oh so I'm guessing any SR withdrawal I'd have had was covered up by the 7oh use.
This time around I'm going to make myself use SR for as short a time as possible. In my mind doing little cuts with short runs of SR at a time kinda makes sense to me but I'm wondering if theres something I dont know about sr that might make doing that counter productive. I'm trying to quit without having to call off from work. I think I may request some days off in early August so if I need to just suffer for a few days I can, but yeah idk. This is daunting. I'm not really ready to stop but I know that I don't have much choice anymore and ultimately stopping will be for the best. Any information I can get from the community on my plan would be greatly appreciated.
