Taking the last steps of the stairs I check my phone again.
Sam and I already wait inside.
As I reach the top, I slide my phone back into my bag and let my eyes roam.
1.08, 1.07, 1.06…
There we go.
I push into the room and immediately see Sam and Liv sitting in one of the middle rows. Other students are already chatting with each other, but no Prof in sight yet. I set up my tablet next to Liv and pop open a Red Bull.
“So how was your summer?”, I ask my friends.
“Kinda chill, I was on a cruise with the family.”, Sam answers and looks at Liv.
Liv sights: “Stressful, had to move, cause my ex roomie got us evicted. Bitch took my rent money and didn't pay rent. How about you?”
“Damn, that sucks. Why didn't you say anything? I would've helped, you could've even crashed on my couch. I took in some extra shifts at the pub over summer.”, I tell her.
“I know you would've helped, but I also know how busy you are and it worked out anyway.”
“Guys, the new prof is hot.”, Sam interrupts our conversation.
I look up at the Professor setting up his laptop and I have to admit, Sam is right.
“Damn fine he is.”, Liv whispers and we giggle.
“Wouldn't say no to that one.”, I agree.
While I am still looking at his golden hair, he suddenly looks up and I could swear his eyes lock on mine, before he runs a hand through his curls and stands up.
“Welcome to the seminar, my name is Matthew Holmes and I hope we'll be having a good time together.”
“I bet you can give us a really good time”, I hear Liv whisper and have to snort.
Of course Professor Handsome doesn't miss that and arches a brow at me. I bite my lip and try to focus on making notes. It doesn't take long to abort that mission and get out my pencil to start sketching.

While I am getting ready for the first lecture of the semester, more and more students are trickling in. One of the girls in the front row - at least if you define the front row as the first row filled with students - says something about me being hot and I have to smirk a little. Another voice whispers something unintelligible, but when I hear another voice saying “Wouldn't say no to that one.” I just can't stop myself from looking up.
For a moment I am falling into the depths of a pair of ice blue eyes framed by ebony waves. I tear my gaze away and get ready for the lecture, but just after a few words I hear a snort from a certain direction and as my eyes dart to the culprit, she bites her lips in a way that makes me want to taste them.
Damn, I really need to get laid and I really need to get my shit together, because feeling attracted to her is wrong on so many levels.
While the lecture goes on, I catch her diamond gaze again and again, looking at me like she analyses every fiber of my being and definitely scribbling more than my words should make her, which makes me not only a bit nervous but excites me in an unusual way.
When I finish today's session, I am kinda glad that the ice queen gets pulled along by her two friends, so I can pack and leave without further distraction.
