Small act of simping for a random coworker

This was over a decade ago.

I was working at a fairly large office for a multinational, and I would always notice this hot blonde girl on my floor. We were in different departments and our desks were in different areas of the building. Despite that, I would often go out of my way to pass near where she sits in an attempt to discreetly check her out for a second and see what she was wearing that day. I never introduced myself, though I would sometimes give her the slightest of nods if I saw her in the hallway or the breakout area. I just asked her random quick questions on a couple of occasions about the coffee machine or whatever.

I was always feeling the urge to simp for her in some way. I just didn't want to risk making her feel uncomfortable. So one day I put £50 of cash in an envelope, wrote her name on it, and left it on her desk when nobody was there.

I passed near her desk a while later and noticed that she had put the envelope up to make it visible, probably hoping for whoever dropped it to notice and come explain. The envelope was not there the next day.

Now, this is not something I would do today because it might have made her feel awkward, but at the time it seemed like a good idea. I felt happy for having contributed to making her life slightly better in some way, and imagining all the things she could have spent the money on.
