5 days post op meta with dr. chen

my penis swelling is finally going down lol!! that was kind of freaking me out a bit so i'm happy it's visibly gotten less swollen in the past 24 hours. so far the worst of this has been the bladder spasms and this godforsaken fucking bag. i hate foley catheter bags so i'm very glad that for my post op on thursday i'll be switched to a spout!! i was also very nervous about my mobility post op, and so far i am walking around pretty alright! i called my boyfriend today and paced around my airbnb for 40 minutes without even noticing. my walking has more been waddling tbh, which has actually been putting unecessary strain on my right hip flexor, and that has been causing me more pain and discomfort than the surgery itself lol. everyone in my life was making it like bottom surgery was going to be excruciatingly painful and awful to heal from, but honestly it's been fine so far. i'm very grateful to have been able to have this surgery done and i can't wait to see how my dick will look in the coming weeks!! i also can't wait to be able to jerk off again lmao

day 1 post op with dr. mang chen

today i've just been taking my pain meds and sleeping a lot, and walking around my airbnb whenever i can. i feel really loopy, tired, and dizzy but ik that's because of the meds i'm taking. i've been drinking plenty of water and have been trying to put ice on my penis because the poor fella is so swollen and also hurts a good amount. i hope after the first week this pain gets easier to manage. i'm very lucky to have my mom here with me to help me move around/get me food/etc. i think the worst part about all of this so far has been the bladder spasms :,3

hello !! i am scheduled to have my metoidioplasty surgery with dr. chen in the beginning of june (UL with no vnec), i was wondering if anyone has a timeline of how their mobility improved post op ? i am a very active guy, i really enjoy working out/walking around (obv i do know i can't heavily exercise for a few weeks post op) and the thought of not being able to walk around as much as i usually is definitely giving me some anxiety. i'm not getting vnec so i'm hoping that will make my mobility somewhat improved than those who do have it done, though having a catheter in for weeks is going to be totally new territory for me. that in itself i have been completely dreading. does anyone have a timeline on how their mobility improved post op week by week ? also, are you allowed to have a catheter with a leg bag so it's discreet in case you go out in public? i just want a general idea of what i might be going through in a month so i can be mentally prepared. thank you so much!!
