Where do you put your hands during the massage? Do you put them up by your head or down at your sides?

I typically put my hands up by my head. Toward the beginning of most massages they stand above the head and I use that opportunity to put my hands on their ass. Now and then they will eventually move my hands to my sides if that is part of their massage.

Is there any benefits to starting with hands by sides? Is there some placement that I have not thought of thaT allows/encourages feeling them up?
