I’m a girl from a very artsy, academic family with hipster/hippie vibes. My mom is an English professor and writer, and my dad is a painter and filmmaker.

Last fall, my mom and dad conceptualized and commissioned an art project…a photoshoot and behind the scenes style documentary…focused on…me.

After a lot of explanation and a long, meandering windup, they finally got to the crux of it: they wanted me to pose naked.

It took a LOT of long, hard, insanely emotional conversations as mom and dad and daughter, but in the end…I finally agreed to say yes. And so…yeah. I posed naked, in front of my family, over the course of a long weekend.

It’s almost therapeutic to actually put these words down and speak honestly about it. Thank you in advance for being kind. Questions are welcome.

It started a year ago and it’s kept going ever since. I don’t mean to sound cliche or silly, I feel so weird opening up about this in the first place, but it’s just been such an intense year and it’s been a LOT to walk around carrying such a huge and complicated secret. I found this place and figured it might be a place where I could finally spill my heart out.

I’m using an alternate account to talk about this, no surprise. But to make a long story short, I’m a girl in a clothes-free family of five…me, my mom and dad, my little brother, and my little sister.

It’s still a relatively new thing for us, it’s something we started at the beginning of this year. It’s not something I talk about freely in my everyday life, so it’s nice to find a community like this one where I can open up. Ask away!
