potencial connection (new to this)
Hi! I'm 23, I have a boyfriend, and I live in the Dominican Republic.
Last Friday (May 29), I went to a karaoke bar with my best friend. We've been going there pretty regularly lately. We were about to leave and head to McDonald's when a group of men approached us. One of them seemed to be the leader of the group.
I canceled my Uber request and started talking with them. The conversation was polite, friendly, and respectful, but I noticed some flirty vibes. The leader approached me and sat next to me. He asked for my number. At first, I hesitated because I genuinely thought he was interested in my friend, and in my mind I'm not available since I'm in a relationship. However, I ended up giving him my number.
They invited us to dance, but we didn't go with them. After that, they left.
The thing is, I messaged him today (one week later). When we met, he made sure I saved his number, and I had the idea that maybe I could get something out of the connection. One thing I forgot to mention is that he told us that night that he loved hearing us sing and that he owns a place—a brand-new food truck park/food hall business here in the Dominican Republic that has been very successful. My friend and I thought he might have been trying to impress us.
So today I messaged him and asked if he could send me some food so I could eat with my boyfriend.
Now I need advice on how to ask for things, how to act around him, whether I should tell my boyfriend, and what I should expect.
Also, he said yes when I asked if he could send me some food. I sent him what I wanted, but he still hasn't replied. By the way, I already told my boyfriend the day I met this man. I told him that the guy owned that business, and my best friend and I even made fun of him a little afterward.
