Choosing first dildo
I'm choosing a first dildo to use with a partner with a small vibe or wand. I even consider ordering more than one for the sake of exploration, but looking at all the options I feel a bit lost. The choice is so big that I wanted to ask for your experience. It seems that lots of dildos are made for a visual appeal, but I wonder if it makes any difference. Is there a shortcut to not buy 10-20 different ones just to find 2-3 that you actually enjoy?
Let's start with a size. My natural inclination is to buy a small one first. Does this logic make sense? Does stroking with a small dildo feels nice at all? Or should I rather explore more girthy, that give fullness and enjoy slow strokes with a clit vibe on? Some dildos are narrow across most of their length and then extra wide at the bottom. Is it something you especially enjoy?
Material hardness. Are very soft dildos feel good or is it better to skip them all together? Visually I like glass ones, but their hardness is intimidating and I'm afraid to bruise myself. I'm I overthinking it? How common it is to not enjoy glass dildos?
Texture - does it feels as good as it looks? Or is it just a gimmic?
Anatomical vs abstract shapes? Starring at them though my screen, I don't see much appeal in dick-shaped dildos. Is it more of a psychological pleasure? Is it reasonable to expect that being aroused, penetration by a dick-shaped dildo will be more attractive to me? Or maybe it's the texture and shape of such dildos that feel amazing?
