I am new to the Subreddit and new ish to nudism.

I am in the East Midlands.

Afternoon all!

First time visiting Eastney tomorrow afternoon and wanted to see if anyone has been on a Thursday afternoon and know if there will be lots of people there? Or will it just be me?

Also, is there better spots to be?

Bit of a blunt question, sorry, but even on other sites, everyone is old. Why don't young people get involved?

I'm mid 40s male and recently went to Studland (alone) and has a great time swimming nude. I'm also looking into nudist spas (a BN one in particular) as I'm leaning more into naturism although I'm familiar being naked at home (alone or with gf in the past).

Ok, so silly newbie question - pubic hair. I know 'it's everyone's choice and no one cares'... bbuuuuttt is there any 'norm' to shave/trim etc? At Studland I reckon all the committed nudist guys (the ones with obvious deep tans!) were hairless (I didn't stare or do a full survey) but when I've done that it ends up spotty - not a good or healthy look.

So, what's normal? Or at least recommended?

I went to my first nudist beach with my wife this weekend. A beautiful beach in North Wales. Whilst I was nervous and self conscious to start with (chubby, and *eh hem* on the smaller side ...) it soon disappeared. I bared all, and swam in the sea. What a truly amazing experience.

My first trip to Sunfolk as a first timer was a rollercoaster of emotion. My heart was racing as I pulled up to the gate, I thought about turning back that this is all so weird and I should go back home.

But I followed through with it, met the warden and he showed me around the area a very nice chap who also weirdly seemed a bit nervous which put me at ease.

The average age was a bit of a shock, mostly older crowd (which is fine). I’m 29m and was by far the youngest there, let’s get young people into this so they can know how freeing it is!

After the tour it was time to get naked, this is when the anxiety hit. People are going to see me! I shouldn’t be doing this! This feels so wrong.

Well I was super glad I swallowed my pride and took off my clothes at the car. Tension and apprehension building, I felt shy and exposed and didn’t want anyone to see me.

I walked over timidly to a bench and had a drink of water, almost just to take a breather and slow my racing heart.

In that moment I found the peace I had been looking for. I took a deep breath and realised this is actually fine, no one is judging me. No one is going to laugh at my tiny cock. I can just be comfortable in my skin and free from judgement.

Then it came time to move to a different spot and the nerves came back, I could feel eyes on me from all angles but by that point I felt I didn’t care.

So what. Let them look. I’m proud of my body.

These were the words going through my head.

After I got over the initial shock, I was lying on the grass and could hear the birds tweeting and the low rumble of a plane flying by from far away.

I had found the peace I was seeking.

Reflecting on the drive home I realised why I need nudism in my life, this is so freeing and liberating. I feel so much more confident in my own body and my own skin after this experience.

I didn’t want to put my clothes back on at the end of the day, I felt so comfortable and confident that anyone could look at my and I wouldn’t shy away. I’d say this is me, this is my body and it’s a perfectly good one. Feel free to judge me or stare, I don’t care because I am comfortable in my self.

Now looking for my next naturist trip, considering Brighton beach, would love a like minded friend M or F to share the experience with!

Can I walk in sheer dress without wearing bra, panties in london? Not at noon but bit around late evening

Given that the law about nudity in the UK is very benign, has anyone got experience of getting naked on a beach when that place isn't recognised as a "nude beach"? I'm not talking about blatantly stripping off in the most crowded part of a beach, but if there are a lot of people around, moving down to the end where there aren't so many. But not finding a place to be totally alone either! It would be a case of not being right in front of people, but not hiding either.

Or if people haven't been bold enough to do this personally, has anyone heard about it, maybe in a local discussion forum or a local newspaper? I'm thinking that regardless of what the law says, being seen naked is something that "Just isn't done" and there really hasn't been a trend in that direction. But it could so easily happen, like in Denmark where reports say that nudity is pretty much taken for granted as an alternative kind of swimsuit.
