Idea eight: Somewhat similar to the playboy mansion, but instead a mansion of littles. You’re wealthy and the owner, and my girl has caught your attention.

That can be a huge help to working through past trauma or breaking out of unhealthy, ingrained habits. But it can also be super valuable just on its own. I mean, who hasn't wished they could get to see the world through "new" eyes again?

You may be worried about side-effects, and I won't downplay those. They're a big part of why I'm here. You may have some trouble taking care of yourself while you go through your first round of treatment. You'll still be able to think like the adult you are, but you may find your brain and body getting a little...mixed-up. Emotions may feel bigger and more overwhelming. You may have a harder time thinking ahead or remembering how to do certain things, too. Issues with toileting are pretty common, for instance. You're getting back in touch with what it's like to be a kid again, and sometimes kids have accidents. No big deal.

The important thing to know is that these changes are mostly temporary, usually. Most people only have a couple long-term, adverse side-effects, and those are almost all readily manageable. The scary stories you might've heard about ICRT patients coming out of treatment not able to read or to feed or dress themselves anymore are *extreme* outliers.

But you will need looking after for a while, and that's my job. I'll be your 'sitter, responsible for keeping an eye on you while you go through treatment. We'll be together full-time, which I know can be intimidating or embarrassing with a stranger, but I hope we'll end up being good friends.
