How bad is it? Should I go for surgery? Please be kind

Born like this and had no major issue. However, this has induced a lot of anxiety and affects my confidence, especially around women. Most of my partners did not care but a few have expressed concern with that. Please suggest me how bad is it and please be respectful.

Can’t decide if son should get surgery or not. 19 month old with “mild” chordee. Unsure if he has Hypospadias as he is not circumcised.

That pretty much sums it up. We have been to 2 pediatric Urologist. They both mentioned the mild nature of the bend, but there is def a downward bend to it. We delayed circumsicion I case he needed surgery. There is also a chance he has a mild hypospadia at the tip, but we don’t know until his foreskin is removed or it’s loose enough to pull past the tip. My gut says wait and see, but I just am having a hard time making this decision. Both doctors didn’t seem convinced he needed the surgery but also noted he could. Any thoughts from anyone here?

On going care/dilation

How many men with repairs performed as children have needed on going surgeries/dilation? In my 20s I got Orchitis due to an unknown/untreated UTI. After it healed I followed up urology and the urologist wanted to shove rods down my urethra and I declined. He wanted to do it while I was awake with no medication or anything. It was my first appt with him, I wasn’t mentally prepared and I think I had PTSD from all of the hypospadias repair I can remember. I was diagnosed with Cystinuria (genetic kidney stone disease at 38. I had dilation performed while under anesthesia while getting a procedure to remove kidney stone by my urologist. I know he did it due to the scar tissue from hypospadias repair. How normal is all of this for us?

Anyone experience Glans Dehiscence after surgery?

My son was born with severe chordee and proximal hypospadias. His case was so severe that it was pretty much no question that he’d have to have surgery if he wanted to have it be as functional as possible.

He’s already had three surgeries. One at 6 months, one year and 18 months. The first was to straighten his penis, the second was to place a graft and the third was to go finally create the tube to go to as close to the tip of his penis as possible.

Each surgery has been a tough ordeal but he’s healed great each time until the third surgery. The doctor told us at our latest check up that it looks like he has glans dehiscence and a fistula and will need another surgery to address these complications. I knew these were possibilities, but I figured since the other surgeries went well this one would too.

I am devastated for our son. He is terrified of doctors/hospitals now and is very uncomfortable when we have to touch his penis in any way. I am scared that we have physically/mentally scarred him for life in our attempt to help him.
Does anyone have experience with this kind of revision surgery? I’m really hoping this fourth surgery will be his last and he can physically and mentally heal from all of this.
