Hello all,

Bought my Tempest 2 bundle pack 6 months ago almost now.
Has changed the game for me and really helping me cut down the combustion.

When I get good flower, I'm super excited to see how it taste/hits from the T2.
Love everything about the bundle. The Induction Heater, Case and Reload. All pure excellence in terms of thought process and build quality. You can tell they're all made by the same company. Lovely bits of kit.

I recently got my hands on some Medical Static Hash. Put it at the top of the bowl with flower underneath. I'm scared some leaked into the cap/balls. I'm getting a horrible/revolting burnt Popcorn taste like you're vaping black AVB.

I've changed the ruby balls for the standard ones, disassembled the entire T2 and soaked in alcohol and washed with soap. Scrubbed with wire brushes. Used a new cooling unit and used replacement screens for bowl and balls.

Nothing is taking away this burnt taste. I've disassembled the indicator at the top and cleaned/alcohol soaked that but still nothing. There's still this burnt taste i'm getting.

I dry hit the stem with the cap/head removed and no flower in the bowl. I get the burnt popcorn taste. The stem is spotless. There's no resin or tar build up or anything visible. I'm at the point where I want to buy a new Stem or a new Cap to eliminate what is causing this horrible taste. Hasn't happened before in 6 months. Only thing changed was me trying the Static in it that ONE time.

Device also feels super clogged and not producing enough vapor with both cap and stem airholes closed fully shut.

Any help? Apologies for long post.

I dropped it on polyester carpet whilst hot (I know, I know) i bought a replacement sleeve, cap and spring because I wasnt confident I could guarantee 100% plastic removal with iso and scotchbrite. But the spring has totally baffled me and I can't get it back together functionally and I can't figure out how its meant to be, I have another but im too scared to take it apart and ruin both VI's

Please, convince me to buy a T2 head or the upgrade kit.

Even if it's not my main device I like the tempest but I don't understand what's different with T1 head beside more space (.15 v 0.2), better click but I use the indicator normally, different screens for balls and material.

I’ve been trying to get the stainless steel balls for my Tempest for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, they’re sold out everywhere in Germany (or the shipping is ridiculously expensive)
I found these on eBay: 3 mm stainless steel balls for model making.
Would these work as well?

I have had my Tempest 2 for a few weeks now and really enjoying it. I have ruby balls in it and smallest bowl size, I have set the stem airflow fully closed and the cap fully open. On the YLL it is set at 80w 38s

My style is two flavourful hits that clear the bowl. But I find the vapour a bit hot. Am I correct in thinking that by opening the stem airflow a bit will cool down the vapour? I don’t really want to change anything on the YLL as it seems dialled in correctly.

Just would like the hit a bit cooler while retaining flavour and extraction.

Any tips appreciated

I am trying to use restrict top vents but cannot, took out the cooling spiral and it bent trying to open the screw, used the debowler on reload, and the included screwdriver, no luck, tried heating too, didn’t help, put in vice grip didn’t work either and scratched my top.

Did Hercules put this thing together?

Any ideas?

Does the lid—where you can let the cap cool down—significantly muffle the "cooldown" click noise? I’m having a problem with my neighbors, who regularly complain that I’m smoking on the balcony below them. I’ve been vaping at low temperatures, blowing the vapor toward the floor, and only in small puffs instead of one big cloud at a time. During a conversation, they explicitly mentioned the clicking sound, and I think that when they hear it, it sets them off and makes them sniff around especially thoroughly. Hence the question: is the cooldown click much quieter with the case?

I've had the Tempest 2 and a Wand since last Black Friday. I only use it with zirconia balls. I've experimented with countless settings—the depth in the Wand, the temperature in the Wand (I know it's just a timer), as well as the airflow at the cap and the carb hole. No matter what I do, I can never get hits as flavorful as those from the first heat cycle with a Dynavap. The Tempest definitely hits harder, but it’s always been touted as a flavor beast, and I just can’t seem to get that out of it. Am I doing something wrong, or is it normal that it empties a bowl ultra-fast but the flavor is never as rich as with a Dynavap? I’d appreciate any help. I have a mix of 2.5 and 3 mm zirconia balls, in case that matters (I lost a few 3 mm ones, and at the time, my dealer only had the 2.5 mm balls available).

Im on a bicycle trip and my Cuboo Heater just died. No jet flame torch with me.
Is it possible to use the Tempest 2 as a regular pipe?
Like filling the bowl and fire it up with a regular lighter?

Whenever I check my email I almost always only check the primary folder and I didn’t see the please read ema from mad heaters after purchasing my t2 from them. I haven’t bought anything inline that requires me to pay tariffs separately so i was unfamiliar with the process. I had been tracking the order with the shop app integration and the entire two weeks I waited it still said expected august 19th so i didn’t think anything was up until it didn’t arrive yesterday. It wasn’t until today when it said package returned that I realized something was up.

I have reached out to madheaters but they may take days to respond. Can I expect them to reship it or refund me?

I've read many people speak of the benefit of having a Madheater Tempest Case for home use, and I'm wondering how/why that is if one already has the Reload device?

I am a completely new user so just trying to understand if purchasing a case is of benefit if I am only using my device at home?
