For some reason, whenever I open most CYOAs on cyoa.cafe, a black screen loads in over everything in the page and I can’t tap anything to get it to go away. Reloading the page does it, but then the screen reappears and prevents me from selecting or reading anything. I’m logged in when it happens, and it doesn’t always come up for every CYOA, but I still don’t know why it does or doesn’t happen.

I’m curious to hear if this is just me, or if there’s others experiencing issues with this too. The site’s CYOAs work for me on PC also, it’s just mobile that’s acting weird.

Greetings, gentle readers! It is great to see you all from this side of the catalogue this time! Some of our more eagle-eyed customers may have seen a new name pop up in the credits of the previous issues, and today I'm honored to present to you my first official week!

This week, we bring you to the Honkai Impact universe, the one that started Mihoyo's ascent to fame which then allowed them to make Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact, among other gachas. While it is aging I still recommend everyone interested in it to try it out since story-wise it's one of the greatest gacha games I have played. The animated scenes are incredibly well animated and quite the tearjerkers as well.

Lastly, I want to thank all my (now) fellow authors who helped me in the making of this issue and a special thanks to u/drNeoKorteks as he's the one I reached out to first.

The original CYOA was made by Aromage. Its a pretty cool superheroine minion collecting CYOA, where you play as a villain who first makes a minion then uses them to mind control other superheroines. The Be the Superhuman Girl DLC was made by Novamarauder, who wanted to turn it into a "be the girl" type CYOA. They actually got the blessing of Aromage to make this, so this is an official DLC to the original, which is pretty cool. Most fans who want to make an add-on just make their own on their own, since you don't need the creators approval to make a fan DLC to a CYOA as long as you credit the creator. But going a step above to get Aromage's blessing is nice. The DLC was originally text only, as you can see in the google drive file linked above. But MetamorphosisInc made it into a more visually appealing version, which is the 4th image I added. So that makes it the 3rd take on the original CYOA lol.

EDIT: Bugfixes abound, should be smoother play now.

This CYOA started as a simple “pick some options for a hot mistress”-character creator and grew a lot from this. What's new in v3.1:

- A New Life: A grand re-work of the former Boni and Drawbacks-section. Now you can really shape your life as your mistress' slave. From your diet to personal freedom or your working schedule and much more. Choose some stuff for her home, like a well suited armory or a cute pet brightening your day up. And finally you can choose a whole selection of rules your mistress set for you. Who wouldn't like some free healthcare, right? Or is your mistress more on the mean and cruel side? Well, then she might put you in chastity or demand you to crawl all the time. Whatever it is, you can choose from 60 different choices to shape your life in Lewdoria.

- New Stuff for Your Mistress: A whole new selection of stuff your mistress can buy for her cozy home. Pretty sure the Vibrating "Magic" Crystals in her bedroom drawer are for research purpose only and the strange Nether Box she keeps secret is certainly totally harmless. Yeah, sure she laughs like a maniac when opening it, but isn't that completely normal behavior? Anyway, you can buy 32 different pieces for your mistress now. Wonder what happens when you open that Mysterious Dice ...

- Welcome to Lewdoria v1.1: Explore the Great Ocean and visit the Sea Tribes of the Lost Continent of Eldros and drop anchor at the shores of the mysterious forest-island of Arwen. An expansion of the Materium, all with new lore and places to explore. Or maybe you'd like to step through one of the Portals to the Otherworld and find out if the Angels and Demons are telling the truth about the wondrous Lands of the Heralds. You can now explore the Otherworld, a completely separate map.

The maps have hundreds of locations, all with their own lore and descriptions (you find the links and instructions to open the maps at the end of this post). And if you're just here to jerk off, don't worry, the whole thing is absolutely optional. To be honest, since I'm pretty geeky and love worldbuilding, I did most of it for myself, but I'm happy, if you enjoy exploring a little yourself 🙂

- More Stuff: 2 More skills for your character (anyone wanna know the date of their death … no?), 3 new Personality Traits for your mistress (no, she's not crazy, just a little eccentric … right?), 3 new Powers for your mistress (have you ever tried to make your make-up look perfect and yelled at the mirror, cause you messed up that eyeliner again? Well, then you know what it means to be a true beauty queen), 4 new Homes (hope you don't get sea sick) and a new Duty. Probably some more stuff here and there that I forgot about.

Technical updates: Fixed a few bugs and probably introduced a ton of new ones 😵. If you find any, please report them so I can (hopefully) fix them. Some stuff in the backend that you will likely never notice 😉

How to open the maps

I made the maps with the awesome Fantasy Map Generator of Azgaar. While giving a lot of versatility to let my inner geek run wild, there is no “showcase mode” (that I'm aware of). Therefore accessing the map needs some little extra steps (don't worry, it's not that complicated).

3. Click on the arrow in the upper left corner
4. Click “Load”
5. Load one of the .map-files you just downloaded
6. Zoom in and hover over the names to read the lore behind the cities and locations on the map

You can activate different layers in the menu to show biomes, a political map or the spread of religions and cultures. So, have fun exploring 🙂

I reuploaded a version that is split up into multiple images and is also less wide so that the guide is hopefully more readable for everyone. It's a class guide for Encroached Realms, similar to the old class guides I used to read for DnD 3.5, like, 20 years ago. It's probably way too much effort for a CYOA, yet alone a wip one, but making this atleast assauges the pain of the choice paralysis preventing me from making my own build.

It's the final issue of June. You know what that means. That's right! It's time for an issue of the Catalogue revolving around princesses and nobility. You know, June things.

The Trials and Tribulations of Loving Princesses

As you can see, I once again cannot leave well enough alone. Last year, you were given the choice of two paths. This year, I've brought in a new way to modify our challenges: trials. I'm really happy with how these came out and hope you enjoy them too as extra optional modifiers to the challenges.

With this, we bring season 17 to a close. A season of losing heroines, dungeon crawls, and now beautiful nobles. I had a lot of fun personally, getting to try out multiple new ideas and bringing the Cracks to an end along with releasing the Nikke issue. Exciting stuff.

But do not despair the end of season 17. Instead, let's look forward to season 18 and all of the crazy stuff we've got waiting for you there. If I may be so bold, I think we've got some prototypical issues on the horizon.
