This was like 2 summers ago, and it happened in Bayhead, NJ.. I went with a friend to the beach but he had to leave early because his work called so I said let me chill for a few more hours before I headed home.. there was this good looking couple who was sitting not too far from me, playing paddle ball. She was so into it and was playing well. He was good too, but she was just better. 

I went for a quick swim and when I was going back to my spot, I passed by them and I said "great game". He said clearly that she's more skilled than him, and he was just trying to keep up. I then said if any of them got tired, I would love to play.. and he was like: " here you go, she's all yours" I didn't think anything of it but I played with her for a good 30 min until we were both covered in a lot of sweat. When we went back to our spots, the husband was like, " You did much better than I would have done."  I complimented her play and said to be continued another time, hopefully.. we were all joking about it, then he asked what happened to my friend and why he ditched me. I explained the situation. And he was like, "Now we feel bad for you and invited me to join them." 

So I moved my stuff next to them, and we hung out for a couple of hrs, just talking about everything over a few beers.. it turned out they lived in North Jersey, and they Airbnb'd a place in the area for the week. During the conversations, I could tell that she likes me and she showed it several times but he didn't have any issues with it.. I thought to myself that it was a bit strange but I kept going with the flow.. I thought, "At best, maybe they have an open relationship, but I didn't think more than that."

In any case, as sunset approached, I was dreading going back to the city in traffic as it was Sunday evening on a summer weekend.. he was like you should leave much later because traffic would usually ease up and that they would love to continue hanging in their place.. it was their last night, and we may as well all hang out some more. At that point, aside from some harmless flirting between me and the wife, things seemed platonic, but I loved the idea because they were really cool, and we kinda clicked pretty well.  

When we got to their place, things kinda changed quickly. 

When she went to shower, I told him that he's lucky that his wife was cool and that she's pretty hot, he was like that he thought she liked me too. I asked how he would feel about that, and he said that he didn't mind at all and her happiness and satisfaction mean everything to him.. 

I took a shower after she came back and when I came back, they were making out then when they saw me, the husband said that it was his turn to take a shower and to feel home.. I sat next to her and it was full blown flirting at that point then I kissed her once, then another kiss, then full wet passionate kisses for a long time until she she was melting in my arms.. I then removed her robe, and we enjoyed each other tremendously, at first just her and I, then in front of her husband for the remaining of the night.  It was an incredible experience. I didn't leave their place until 9 am the following day and with probably 3 hours of sleep.

I've had luck a few times striking conversations with couples in random lounges/bars or concerts. The odds are small that the couple would be into this but you would be surprised if you keep certain signs in mind, such as the chemistry and playfulness between the couple, eye contact with the wife/gf, attitude, and openness to conversations with others.
