This starts with the current investigation coming from Senator Lyndon. Basically, Lyndon is pointing out the hypocrisy against the government (RFK JR) accepting bribes from kratom manufacturers and spearheading the 7OH ban.
While making the claims they have against 7OH, they have ignored the science entirely, and used profit to throw 7OH into a schedule 1 ban via the DEA.
The DEA does not set regulatory framework.
The FDA would have to do that.
They used the DEA to frame 7OH as a novel dangerous opioid.
Did you guys see the video Chase Chrisley made about 7OH? He dropped it last night, it’s honestly laughable. I wonder how much he was paid for that one. ‘Gas station heroin killed my friends and ruined my life, but pure leaf kratom is amazing and super safe and not at ALL addictive’.
This had the AKAs talking points ALL over it.
The Chrisley’s will do A LOT for a check.
He also looks and sounds drunk/high throughout the entire thing. The comment section is mostly anti-kratom folk, surprisingly, but most calling him out for how high he looks.
Just another talking head spewing misinformation, completely disregarding the thousands of adults who use 7OH responsibly to treat chronic pain. The elderly community, veterans, mothers, fathers, small business owners.
We have families and jobs and mortgages.
But these people NEED the world to think we’re nothing more than addicts who have lost everything, holding smoke shops and gas stations hostage for their supply. It’s a damn joke at this point.
As many of you know, I was able to secure a 40+ minute phone call with a Congressman who has publicly supported 7-OH and spoken out against the unfair demonization of the substance. With his guidance, along with hours of independent research, I spent over 6 hours putting together an OFFICIAL priority legislative contact list excluding the Congressman who has already committed to advocating on our behalf.
WE HAVE 24 HOURS. ‼️
Every single one of us needs to call as many legislators as possible—and encourage our family, friends, coworkers, employees, neighbors, and anyone else willing to help to do the same.
This is NOT a random list. There are nearly 500 members of Congress, and these are the legislators who are more likely to hear our concerns based on their past support for kratom, harm reduction, sensible regulation over prohibition, individual liberty, or science-based policymaking.
In 2016, the kratom community secured 51 legislators to oppose the federal ban. There is no reason we can’t achieve the same if everyone does their part.
Use the call script, speak with the staff member if someone answers, or leave a 30-second voicemail and move on to the next office. It’s that simple. Most of us can get through 15–20 offices in 30 minutes or less—less time than many of us spend scrolling Reddit or vendor chats. This is our last opportunity to make our voices heard where they matter most.
Let’s respectfully flood these offices with calls over the next 24 hours or until an announcement is made. Be polite, be professional, and let them know why preserving access to safer, regulated alternatives matters.
I’ve been told we still have a real opportunity here, and every legislator we bring to our side improves our chances.
We can do this. Please repost this, share it everywhere, and get as many people involved as possible.
If everyone commits to calling at least the priority list, we give ourselves the best possible chance at securing an extension. And for the overachievers and dedicated advocates—if we can work through the entire list together, we’ll know we truly left everything on the table.

I just watched the HHS page switch to ‘closed’ in real time. Talk about a dreadful feeling. Well, we’re in this together y’all. Prepared for the worst and praying on my hands and knees for the best. We gave a good fight in those comments!
Remember, the fight doesn’t end here. We still have to keep pushing and advocating EVERYWHERE.
Call your state reps and senators. Keep pushing the word, the truth, and the science. Share your story. We can still make a difference.
And if all else fails, I’ll be marching it in Washington.
These people are truly unhinged. I said nothing remotely dangerous false. I was having a respectful conversation. They do NOT like the truth being spread, but best believe they allowed all of the lies on 7OH to be commented!
By the way, the OP was someone DYING FROM CHRONIC ILLNESS who found relief from 7OH and was scared about the ban and asking for alternatives.
We cannot become complacent with the mindset of ‘I’ve already left my comment, now we wait and see’. It doesn’t stop there. We have less than 8 days left. A WEEK. We need to make big moves NOW.
Advocate absolutely everywhere. On every post mentioning Kratom or 7OH, spread the truth and link the HHS docket. Even on news articles, fb groups, EVERYWHERE. We need thousands more to comment, and this is the moment we advocate like our lives depend on it.
I get it, we all have lives. Not only do I live with chronic pain, I’m a mother of three, (one of them is a two year old), I am busy full time. Every spare second I have is spent on this cause, on bringing people to comment.
KEEP FIGHTING! 7-HOPE said we have a real shot at extending the comment period and buying ourselves more time. This is our best chance to do that.
Even if you just have it playing in the background, wherever you are, every view helps because it will push this live to trend and get the word out.

I’m looking for any examples or proof anyone can provide me where the a.k.a. has directly acted against us, done anything shady, hired fake actors to perpetuate a false story about how 70h ruined their life, etc.

They are actively in here, watching our every move, noting everything we are doing, saying, and running to the government with exaggerations and false narratives.
Be careful who you’re talking to on here. They are actively in these subreddits, pretending to be someone they aren’t, to then spin a story and use it against us. I’m ready to provide all of those examples in a well written letter.

They want a war on chronic pain patients, recovering addicts, adults who have found relief from a damn plant alkaloid. They are the ones who put all of these eyes on us and now they are grasping for straws with their sad attempts and poorly written letters.
For the first time ever, HHS is using an AI detection tool to weed out the same exact comments. These are the ones that are submitted using the same templates without changing them at all and making them your own.
HHS has a LEGAL obligation to read through each and every comment, and file it. However, before they read them, they are using the AI tool to gather all of the identical AI template comments, and put them aside as ONE comment. As the same argument.
If you used the template already and submitted your comment-DONT WORRY! You can still go back and make another comment, and personalize it more to your own. If you need help, DM ME! I’m always here to help anyone with their comments, I’ve already written over 20 comments for different folks here.
Another small piece of information I heard and wanted to share, reaching out to our representatives is very important, and 7-HOPE said that they, themselves, have meetings scheduled with certain representatives.
The next zoom is at the end of the month and I really hope you all show up. They share very important information that we all need to hear to win this fight.
They’re holding a zoom tonight to help with writing your comments, but I feel it will be not only good information, but good for morale. I’m definitely going to attend and I encourage everyone to if you have the time. We might get some insight into what they’re doing behind the scenes to fight for us.
They are basically begging everyone to comment, and completely shocked that not even a 1/3 of their customer base had sent in screenshots of submitted comments to the HHS/dea after offering the 20% off deal. I’m so grateful for them for being one of the (if not the only) vendors advocating for us to fight for 7, but I share their shock that we aren’t getting more comments in comparison to the large number of us who use 7.

I beg of you, to help those of us who suffer in daily agonizing pain who NEED 7 to function! My children don’t want to watch me suffering like they did before I found this. I’m seeing many asking for a 0.00% allowable threshold, citing reports that it’s harmful to the liver, that naltrexone sends individuals into dangerous withdrawal. And these people are commenting over and over again, citing these reports. I saw another few from individuals saying their family members became addicted and cleared out their bank accounts, etc. Begging the government for a schedule one ban.
we will be punished for others abusing this if we don’t drown out these comments with our own science and lived experiences.

I respectfully urge the Department of Health and Human Services and the Drug Enforcement Administration to reject the proposed temporary scheduling threshold for 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) and instead pursue a science-based regulatory approach that protects public safety while preserving consumer access.
7-OH is a naturally occurring alkaloid present in the kratom leaf. It is not a novel synthetic drug.
For many individuals, access to kratom-derived compounds has been life-changing — particularly for those failed by conventional pain and substance-use treatment systems.
Consumers across the country rely on 7-OH to manage chronic pain, improve their quality of life, reduce reliance on prescription opioids, and as a harm reduction tool. Many have also used it to leave fentanyl, heroin, alcohol, and other more dangerous substances. At a time when millions of Americans continue to struggle with chronic pain, substance use disorder, and limited access to affordable healthcare, removing another potential tool is not sound public policy — and that is exactly what the DEA’s proposed Schedule I placement would do.
7-OH does not belong in Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. Serious adverse events involving 7-OH alone are rare, there have been no overdose deaths involving 7-OH alone, and researchers continue to study its potential medical benefits.
Notably, placing these products into Schedule I will make future scientific research significantly more difficult at precisely the time when more research, not less, is needed to better understand 7-OH and its full public health potential.
I support reasonable regulation and accurate labeling of 7-OH and other kratom products. However, the proposed threshold of 0.050% or approximately 1 milligram per article is simply too low. It would effectively eliminate the vast majority of 7-OH products currently available.
That is not regulation. It is prohibition.
History has shown that prohibition does not eliminate demand. It pushes consumers into unregulated markets, increases the risk of unsafe products, and criminalizes ordinary Americans who are simply trying to improve their quality of life. The people who will be negatively impacted are parents, veterans, caregivers, workers, and individuals who often turned to 7-OH because traditional pain treatment or healthcare was unavailable or unaffordable.
Any threshold should reflect how these products are actually used by responsible adults. A 1 milligram limit does not accomplish that. If limits are established, they should be based on real-world consumer use and scientific evidence, not an arbitrary level that effectively bans an entire category of products.
I respectfully ask the DEA to reject the proposed threshold and instead adopt a practical, evidence-based regulatory framework that protects consumers, supports continued research, and preserves legal access for responsible adults.

Please, everyone, keep it up. Remember, you can submit more then one comment. Don’t stop there, ask your family and loved ones to submit comments in support of 7oh. Ask for regulation, and speak up about the fact that the proposed mg threshold is essentially a ban. Explain the dosage that has worked safely for you.
They cannot arrest their way through the pain community, or the recovery community. Remind them in your comments to focus on the SCIENCE, that 7oh is a partial agonist, and that there are zero reported deaths on 7oh alone.
KEEP IT UP! If we can get to 20k comments, we might actually have a chance.
7-hope said in the zoom meeting, that the states that they fought that had a comment section open, they won. The only states they lost didn’t have a comment section for the public. We have a real shot at winning this is everyone gets off of their asses and takes the time to do this.
Over 1k in a day and a half since the 7 – Hope meeting, we just need to keep pushing this and advocating everywhere we can.

I’m about to try M for the first time with my regular 7oh dose for chronic pain. Should I take them at the same time? Should I take a lower dose of 7 then I normally do with it or am I good to take the same dose? I was going to start with a 5 mg tablet of em.
