I was watching this video on Tik Tok (I have to stop watching Tik Tok, when my opinions are being influenced by Tikky Tokky it needs to go) and I saw a video which said the topic of this post:

It got me thinking about it. I believe, during my whole life, every romantic relationship I've ever had was, in some way, based on what I could provide. Even in my 20s I was always generous with my partners, it's almost a family trait and something my family values. Even if it wasn't always financial generosity (but it invariably was to a certain extent), the provided assets were humour, companionship & thoughtfulness amongst others.

Then it got me thinking. Am I warped because I believe that no woman ever, would be with me for who I am and it will forever be for what I can provide ?

Even women who were with me, for me, are there to be in my aura as a self made man, influencial, rich and slightly crazy guy to see what that world is like. Even women I see, every now and then as friends, are in business and whilst the free lunch and Queen treatment are nice for them the fact they may get contracts from my company too is a sugary enticement.

Am I broken and my view of relationships broken, hence how I ended up here washed up, shipwrecked on the sugar island surrounded by the sugar seas or, by definition, relationships are always (in some level) about what you provide your partner and semi transactional ?
