Manager freaked out when ai brought up touching policy

Edit to title: *I brought up Hey babes, I’m working at a club in Houston, my first shift here and my second shift ever. After he showed me around in the club, I asked if it’s a no touching place and he totally freaked out, he was like “you can set your boundaries but if I get too many complaints about you Imma let you go. It’s a strip club, men are gonna get excited and wanna touch you. Have you ever danced in a club before? Do you know how it works?” I was explaining I mean they can grope me and assault me, and he is like yeah it’s no sex, that’s illegal but they are gonna want to touch you. Look at there (pointed at a dancer siting on a customer’s lap, grinding on him, facing him). He called a female bartender next, told her look at what she says, I don’t think it’s gonna work out she is freaking me out. And the bartender was also acting in shock I asked this and she said “I have never had this conversation with anyone at a strip club before, have u danced before?” I don’t even know why they freaked out so bad, i kept on explaining I should be able to communicate my boundaries and all I’m saying is like that can’t randomly grope or finger me, They said you can communicate it but it will affect your money and if we get too many complaints we gonna have to let you go. He made a whole scene outta my question, maybe I could have asked differently, i tried to explain many times, idk why he freaked out so bad and offered to refund my house fee. I’m confused, and everything feels weird. Been sitting here for over an hour now, barely anyone is dancing, old guys come in girls go kiss their face/hands, sit with them lol

Hi loves, I want to get started with dancing. I am a dancer, but I’m not a pole dancer. I’m honestly nervous. I live in a small town in TX where there aren’t any strip clubs. Tbh I have never been to one, though I have extensive partying and traveling experience. I will need to travel to Houston or Austin to work. I’m scared of moving out of the town altogether to a big city, and not make the rent. I don’t know how much I’m going to make to risk it all. So I’m thinking maybe it’s better to commute for now. I’m 1-2 h away from Houston (depending on which part of Houston I’m traveling to) and 2h away from Austin. Maybe sleep in my car after work till I can drive back or get a motel if I made enough money for the night. As I said I’m not a pole dancer, hopefully I’m going to get some pole lessons this summer in the town where I’m living, though I have some nerve problems that had affected my wrist and I have been struggling to afford physical therapy. I have heard that most dancers don’t start off being great pole dancers so I’m hoping I can get started before I perfect pole dancing skills. But I’m still nervous about passing audition. I’d appreciate any tips, plus what core moves/skills is needed to pass an audition and make money. I also don’t what good and safe clubs are out there. I’m worried about getting assaulted and trafficked. I also know I gotta be tipping the security every night just to get in the club and be protected. How much typically dancers tip? I have soo many questions. But I know I gotta get started somewhere and figure it out. If you know of any clubs in this area (Houston/Austin) and willing to support me so I can safely get started I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks a lot in advance
