This weekend marks 1 month of not double dosing the Friday I get my 3 take homes. The best part is is that I have zero desire to double dose, especially how many of you reiterated bc of its long half life, ot can take up to a week to restabilize.

I went up yesterday as I previously posted 5mg. Not that big of a deal but it was exactly what I needed.

I know I had previously posted not wanting to exceed 120mg but so many of you guys told me not to do an arbitrary dose number and I am happy I listened. I can go up in 7 days again if need be.

Many people here dont like librium but I find it quite feeling and it plateaus longer than any other benzo I've ever had.

My second favorite benzo is oxazepam.

I also like xanax and valium but high doses of librium is my favorite

I know I keep mentioning double doses.

But i get Saturday sun and Monday take homes and for ghe 3rd week I didnt double dose. I am proud of myself.

I learned your receptors are saturated at a certain dose and I've learned that's why I learned double dosing is just a waste.

Like I posted earlier I finally stabilized at 120. The first time in methadone 6 years ago, I kept going until 150mg looking for a high that doesn't ecost

Yesterday and today I felt the exact same

Isn't that the goal of stability?

I know i bitched about 120 not holding me but today when I dosed I felt the exact same before I dosed as after.

You all were right that it takes some time for a single dose to stabilize. So now I have no need to go up!

I know the scientific difference.

But what how do the effects differ?

I do love misc barbiturates I just know how to acquire the.

As you know im prescribed 4 x 25mg librium a day. Very generous doc.

Mid day I dose another 50mg. Everytjme 30 minutes after dosing i swear I want 3 big mack. My hunger is insatiable.

Like I previously had said, my doc is generous enough to give me 4 x the strongest dose of librium (4 daily) for a total of 100mg.

Unlike lots of benzos, librium has legs on it. And not in the fleeting way diazepam does.

I've been prescribed Oxazepam, Alprazolam, Clonazepam, Diazepam, and a few barbiturates as well (which aren't benzos but similar) and I am most content with 100mg of librium a day.

I find a heavy dose of librium to be the most satisfying and also rather euphoric.

What do yall think?

My doctor is very generous and I am lucky to get the max dose of librium (25mg) 4x daily at 100mg the maximum legal amount.

Just got them filled today and took a handful 30 minutes or so ago, and of course I get that mellow euphoria we all love so much but I'm craving a big mack like no other.

And I just ate an hour ago.

Why is this?

That is where I am at now.

On the way to the clinic this morning I was in wd such as severe anxiety, sweating, just general discontent and uncomfortable feelings. Every time 30 minutes after I dose these sensations pass.

I am at 120mg though and I really dont want to go up anymore. But at the same time, I wonder if 5mg more would alleviate this issue.

Any feedback would be appreciared.

I.e. I shower every morning, gross but I used to not.

I drink much more water and much less soda.

I stopped double dosing recently.

My apartment is a disaster from before I got clean 3.5 months ago, and today I already took out 2 bags of trash.

I make sure I consume something with protein that's sustainable in the morning.

I'm walking at least 2 miles a day.

Despite all of this, did any of you struggle heavily with depression 3-4 months in? I'm doing the best I can yet so often my mood is shit.

I maybe had a strong yet short lived urge to do so yesterday when I was feeling super down and depressed, and also I do know I've posted multiple posts about needing not to double dose only to come back saying I did.

One thing that totally helped remembering all the days without methadine last forever and I obsess about it every second on those days without. I refuse to do that to myself again.

Not to mention many of you have reiterated that double dosing is a total waste of methadone. It really is.

And I appreciate many of you who have mentioned split dosing and that it benefits you, and im glad about that... but I am finally totally comfortable with my dose once daily at 120mg.

Last, do you think the urge to double dose will lessen as I get it right more often? I so hope so.

Last weekend I got 3 take homes and double dosed twice.b so im sure that fucked me. But many of you had said it takes 3 to 5 days for a dose to stabilize. I'm at 120mg and today is day 3 of back to consistent daily proper dosing.

I am so done with double dosing. I'll be dawned if I have to restabilize time and time again because of it.

I have to go with methadone. For me it is much more fulfilling. Plus, a little bit goes a long way.

Which so you prefer?

Its not the most euphoric but it does give me a good mood boost all day long whereas on heroine or oxy I had to dose every 3 to 4 hours
