And now that stupid post shows up in my feed every other time I come here because people ate that shit up for some odd reason. Wow yall just keep blowing up this damn inbox and it’s getting crazy overwhelming here! First I got these 21 yo girls that want me off this app so quick and to meet them on their OF. This space can be so amazing sometimes. A manifestation of lightning that strikes and leaves you smiling and excited for days and months. You can connect with someone on a level you forgot was possible. The conversations become fast paced and never lull as you learn so much about each other and is the bright spot in your day or week even. Just those things can be the best parts of this whole space with the extra fun being just that, extra and not the center of any conversation. Feelings can stir and align, the chemistry is unbearable, and all day chats become late night conversations that leave you regretting staying up so late the next day.

It can also be a veritable dump of wasted time. So many people that can’t type more than a few words, and then wonder why their conversations never last more than a few days. People sending explicit pics within a few messages then wonder why they get blocked. Liars who come here saying they want “connection” and “feelings” then jump to sexting after one decent conversation. People who get bitter and insulting if you two don’t match up. Hint people, not everyone is a match for everyone, chemistry is highly dependent on people involved and that’s ok. No need to force it.

I’ve found both and sometimes the wonder of the negatives are worth the positives. Obviously, the magic is worth the investment because I’m back yet again, looking for lightning to strike and create a blaze of passion and interest because I found the right person. I could sit here and make a list like I’m some spreadsheet or personal facts, but personality is so much more than that, so I prefer to talk and learn organically. I do tend to do better with people who have nerdy interests and love to geek out about things, but I’m pretty eclectic in my personal interests so it’s not hard to have something in common and have also had success with people I’ve near nothing on common. I’ve compartmentalized my whole life. Coach, dad, husband, worker, friend, brother, and so much more. All of these roles are things I’ve picked up to take care of the people around me.
