The current prison system in my opinion need to change and I think these are the main issues and reforms needed. Kindly tell me your ideas as well.

I think governments around the world need to implement these prison reforms.

First issue is over crowding and cost of holding inmates. Prisoners need massive funding from the government to run and per inmate cost is nowadays more than the salary of an average hardworking citizen. To reduce this cost government must introduce privately owned a prisons.

Private companies and people should be allowed to make there own prisons. Like if you have an empty home or a basement you should be able to convert it into a prison for like 10 to 20 inmates. Bondage can be used to allow more inmates in a smaller space. Also owners and management of these private prisons should be able to make there own rules and protocols for inmates. This would encourage compilation and reduce cost and burden of criminal inmate on hardworking citizens.

Send main issue government must solve is discipline inmates. They much face consequences for breaking the rules, not obeying correctional officers or not following the protocols. These punishments should be real and effective. Corporal punishments should be reviewed and correctional officer should have authority to deliver them to inmates.

Thirdly many inmates after getting released from the prison indulge in crime again this must be prevented. Before releasing the inmate after there time ends there must be some evaluation and prison should be able to decide whether the inmate has learned there lesson and is safe to go out. If prison management is not satisfied they shouldn't be allowed to release no matter what. Feedback from guard and discipline of the inmate should be evaluated. Instead of a guaranteed release after a set time, inmates must earn there release with there behaviour and compliance.

Forth issues is security of inmates and safety of correctional officer. Many may say that private prisons would be unsafe and even currently many inmates excape prisons everyday. To solve this inmates must be stripped the right of freedom, free movement and privacy. They must be kept in bondage and under the reach of correctional officer. They should have no privacy it would make officers about to strip search them anytime and they wouldn't be able to hide contraband and escape tools. Uniform for most inmates should be limited to undergarments basically bra and panties only. Which could also be removed if inmate is suspected to escape.

Fifth main issue is that no one wants to be correctional officer because it's dangerous and they have to deal with lawsuits. So they much be given legal immunity from any lawsuits related to inmates. They should be given much more authenticity or control.
