Going to Oasis as a solo woman - need suggestions

So it’s my first time going to oasis as a solo woman and I’m kinda nervous and excited at the same time. Who’s going tonight?

To clarify, I’ve been to oasis before but with my female friend. But this is the first time I’m going just by myself.

Women who’ve gone there by yourselves, I love how confident and comfortable you are and i aspire to be like that. Anything I should know of?

Edit: changed my mind to go tomorrow for the unicorn night 🦄 hoping to see a lot more couples :)

Single men, please don’t DM me. I am not going in as a couple with you and I’m only looking for couples so please don’t message.

I accidentally stumbled into the world of Findom. Here’s what I learned after months of observing.

So… this is probably the weirdest rabbit hole I’ve ever fallen into.

A few months ago I matched with this guy on a dating app. We met up, had a drink, and somehow the conversation ended up on kinks. I don’t even remember how we got there.

At one point he asked me if I’d ever heard of Findom.
I laughed because I genuinely thought he meant something to do with finance.

He just looked at me and was like NO..

That conversation probably lasted another hour. I went home thinking, “There’s absolutely no way this is a real thing.”

Then I opened Reddit.

And holy shit.

I think I spent the next couple of weeks just lurking. I wasn’t posting, wasn’t messaging anyone, just reading. Old threads, arguments, scam posts, dommes talking to other dommes, subs talking about what they actually wanted… basically trying to figure out if this whole thing was real or if everyone was collectively roleplaying.

The funny part is how wrong social media is.
TikTok makes it look like you make one post calling someone a loser and suddenly you’ve got people throwing thousands of dollars at you.

I don’t know where that idea came from, but after reading way too much on here… that’s just not reality.

What surprised me wasn’t even the money.
It was realizing that the money almost isn’t the point.
Everyone outside the community seems to think it’s just “girl gets free money.”

But the more I read, the more I realized it’s really about psychology. Control. Power. Fantasy. Consent. The money is just part of how some people express that dynamic.

I also realized people are way more different than I expected.

Some subs wanted humiliation.
Some absolutely hated it.
Some wanted structure.
Some literally just wanted someone confident to take the lead.
There wasn’t this one-size-fits-all thing I assumed existed.

Another thing…
The amount of scams is honestly insane.
If you’re new, chances are the first people who message you aren’t even genuine. Fake payment screenshots, fake checks, “pay this verification fee,” overpayment scams… I saw the same stories over and over again.

Probably the biggest thing I took away from all of this was that the experienced people weren’t actually talking about money that much.

They were talking about boundaries.

Consent.
Communication.
SSC.
RACK.

Honestly, those conversations were way more interesting than the “look how much money I made today” posts.

Anyway, I’m definitely not an expert. I just accidentally ended up in a part of Reddit I didn’t even know existed and figured I’d share what surprised me the most.

Curious if anyone else had the same experience when they first found this community.
