I have no access to other social media, and was surprised Reddit wasn’t one of the sites they block. I’m almost thru my first 24 hours so I’m still waiting to get that Easter basket of Valium, vistoril, clonidine, gabapentin and I’m gonna try my hardest to get some phenobarbital even if that means foregoing the Valium. That shit is fucking awesome. Met some cool people already, we’re free to watch movies in the common room and rip butts as we please as long as group isn’t going on which ends at 1 everyday. So from 1 to the time you knock out at night we’re absolutely chilling. We got snacks, hilarious war stories to share. Even the 40-60 year old alcoholics who see us as psychos cuz our drug of choice is “illegal” and their drug of choice is socially acceptable are kinda cool. Any one else have a great time while at detox? Sure we’re dopesick and in the process of kicking our drug of choice, but we’re all in the same spot. The camaraderie makes it so much less dreadful.
