kcmo clubs enforcing stricter dress code
our owner told us during an after work meeting last weekend that due to our states liquor laws, we are not allowed to show any inkling of ass, no thongs, no cheeky bikini bottoms, no booty shorts if it’s too cheeky, etc. or else the club could lose our liquor license. all the other clubs in town that sell alcohol and have either nudity or partial nudity are supposedly in the same boat. we are also no longer allowed to remove our top/slide it to the side during lap dances…boobs and ass must be covered at all times.
last night they made everyone either change into something more modest (one girl literally put back on her biker shorts she came into work in), or wear a jacket or opaque covering over our outfit if it wasn’t allowed/if we didn’t have appropriate bottoms to change into. there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication and confusion about what was allowed when we had the meeting about dress code. i literally bought a pair of cheeky tie bikini bottoms (i normally wear thongs) off a girl bc i didn’t have anything else to wear and i was told they would be okay, but i found out later that i can’t even wear those bottoms either and i had to tie my pashmina around my waist for the rest of the shift, and was even asked to let other girls borrow it for when they went up on stage if they didn’t have an ass covering.
i know that technically the club probably should’ve been enforcing this dress code the whole time since we do sell alcohol here, but it just still seems super strict for us to still be a strip club..we all just look like customers or bottle girls with stripper heels now. curious if any other clubs have been through this and how you’ve navigated it. especially when it comes to outfits and selling dances, i’d love some advice on what i can wear and how to sell fully clothed lap dances lol
