I got dumped recently and went to a strip club for the hell of it. I had some cash to burn so after getting a particularly good lap dance decided screw it and treated myself to 30 minutes in vip. It was a very intimate dance (all above board though) and she was good at making conversation. She ended up giving me her number. (Her real number…not a text now or anything like that). Again, I just assumed it was part of the fantasy. She texted me randomly recently asking how I was and I mentioned a life milestone, and suggested we get a drink to celebrate…she said yes? We confirmed the place, (my pick) it’s in a pretty safe neighborhood that I’m familiar with and not too late at night. I’m fully aware that she might have an angle, but honestly, going on a date with a stripper even if it goes nowhere just seems like a fun life lore experience I’m not opposed to having.

My only concern is her switching up when we are there, demanding payment (beyond drinks or food), and having “friends” use violence or threats of violence to extort it from me. The only two things of value I’m showing up with are my phone and car. I asked her explicitly if she saw it as a “business/pleasure” interaction and she said she just saw it as us celebrating the milestone I mentioned early.

every time i’ve seen any stripper they’re beautiful, but i can’t tell if i’m conventionally attractive enough to be one. I’ve auditioned at 1 club in MN before 2 years ago when I had a shit ton of piercings and dyed hair, they said no. but it could have been my lack of confidence while dancing too 😭 i’ve had decent success in other forms of sex work but i really don’t know/cant tell if I’m attractive enough for it to be worth it to go out and audition and get new outfits etc.

I’ve been dancing for over a year and started selling longer dances. How do you make it over an hour dancing?

Usually I will try to take sexy breaks but some dudes except you to dance the entire time. which is fine but I’m hot sweaty and running out of moves.

My partner and I go to a strip club in Vegas pretty often. Probably roughly once a month. It's a fun pastime for me, and I like to think we are very respectful of the dancers and make sure everyone gets paid for their time (and more).

Mostly, I admire the physical discipline many of the dancers have.

I just moved to NYC from Minneapolis, Minnesota (I HATE THAT FUCKING CITY).

When I was in Minneapolis, none of the gentlemen's clubs/strip clubs wanted to hire black women, except one shitty hole in the wall strip club where the men were disgustingly cheap. I auditioned there and that was one and only time I ever danced as a stripper.

I always knew I would try stripping again once I left that hellhole city. So I'm here in New York, and I really want to try again.

I'm quite traumatized from my experience going from club to club just to be denied because of my skin color, and I don't know if NYC operates in the same fashion. I'm willing to go to all 5 boroughs to audition at literally any club.

I'm 5'3, 145 pounds, big boobs, flat tummy, and a pretty good sized butt. I know that I'm gorgeous, but some of these clubs just won't recognize that 🙄

And I know I would fit so much better in gentlemen's clubs rather than urban clubs. But at this point, I'm willing to get into any club (that isn't low vibrational as hell).

For most strippers, dating customers is not ideal (unless the guy is genuinely a good SINGLE guy) but the hours you work (usually evenings and weekends) are prime time more people are out and about socializing.

How do you meet regular people to date? Dating apps, coffeeshops, etc
