I'm thinking about building a local platform where people can post what they need, and people around them can offer to help.

For example:

People could ask questions directly on the post, and anyone interested could offer to do it. Once both sides agree, they can move to a private chat and get it done.

But it wouldn't only be about paid tasks. You could also use it to:

• Ask for local recommendations
• Find someone to help with a college project
• Offer a skill or service
• Get help with a small errand
• Give something away locally
• Find people for something you're working on
• Ask for help with something you don't know how to do
• Find and promote local businesses

 

Basically, a local community where people can post what they need, offer what they can do, and actually connect with people nearby to get things done.

I'm trying to figure out if this is actually useful or if it just sounds good as an idea.

Would you use something like this?
