Need opinion of how much I need for a safe off ramp…

Hey guys,

Currently I’m taking 100mg 4x a day of mgm. I have type 1 diabetes with adrenal and autonomic issues and every time I try to do big jumps my sugars get very unstable. I’ve been through opiate wd many times as I’ve been in pain Managment for over 25 years but didn’t have Addisons at the time.

Should I get 10gs of MGM and 10 g’s of SR or 15 mgm and 3-5 g’s sr?

Never tried sr before and I need as long as an off ramp as possible. Would like your input…

I was thinking maybe use SR to go down to a reasonable amount, then wean mgm some more and jump off? Or wean all the way down to 100-50mg a day and then use SR to hop off? I also have a large supply of bupe but nervous because last time after 30 hours I still PWD.

Thanks!

Weird reaction to cutting 50% of daily total…help please

Hey guys, thanks in advance for reading this and barring with me…

I'm desperate for help with a unique situation complicated by my health issues. I'm a lifelong type 1 diabetic with Addison's disease, making tapering off medications much trickier.

I've been on opioids for 25 years, then Suboxone for the last four years. A year ago, I quit a nearly 800 mg daily habit relatively easily with buprenorphine. Now I'm on 400 mg daily of MGM for the last five months. When I reduced my dose by 50%, I felt no physical withdrawals for the first five days. But around day 4-5, I developed severe depression that became physical by day six—I couldn't keep my eyes open and felt flu-like symptoms without actually having the flu. My diabetes became uncontrolled and my Addison's disease went haywire.

I don't have time or money to taper slowly, and I'm in Florida. Does anyone have ideas for getting off MGM more quickly? I'm worried about going to SR and damaging my receptors since I'll need pain management long-term. I'd prefer transitioning to Suboxone seamlessly, but I'm considering methadone as a last resort—I've been on it before for pain, just never at a clinic.

I'm mentally strong and've quit almost every opioid before, but right now my body and conditions are completely working against me.

Thank you to everyone in advance for any suggestions you may have, beyond greatly appreciated.

Can’t feel a thing

Hey guys. It’s been a few months like this. I take about 100mg 3x a day. For the last month or two I haven’t been able to feel the thing. I don’t mean no euphoria or anything I mean not a thing even pain relief because that’s what I take it for. I was very high dose on seven before, but I still felt something.

So guys, what do I do? How do I get back to feeling anything? What strategy do I take? I want the quickest way out because there’s no point in even taking it anymore if this is the case.

Do you think if I cut my dose by half I’ll eventually start feeling it again? What do you guys think? Thank you so much in advance.

FB (even with citric/lemon) just doesn’t hit for me…

I’m an experienced user on 300+mg per day. Ever since I switched from tabs, freebase takes away wd but never ‘hits’. I assumed it was just my tolerance, and believe me, I’m aware because I don’t feel much regardless but when ever I take tabs or even a salt extract it does what it’s supposed to.

Am I the only one?

I heard that the problem with SR and those who have a very damaged over your reception from years to use are usually the ones that have the problems that are discussed such as completely burning receptors further.

I’m on a very high dose of MGM and I need to reduce slowly, but I don’t want it to take as long as it’s going to. I really can’t afford in many ways for that to be the case.

So I was wondering if I take a very low dose of SR will I be able to taper faster? Does anyone have any ideas or experience with that?

Thank you guys so much.
