Baby dancers lying about how long they been stripping

I’ve noticed some baby dancers lately will lie about how long they stripped for whatever reason. One time I had this baby dancer ask me how long I been dancing and when I asked her back she was like “uhhhhhhh… 8 years”. Like we all been baby dancers before, we know what they look like on stage girl come on. The lying is so weird but I never saw her at the club again after that one time 😭. I even was nice and helped her get some tips bc she was talking to one of the customers in a group of guys I was talking to bc poor girl was struggling to sell herself. But I been hearing this from others too. I really don’t get the point of lying about how long you been stripping for you aren’t fooling anyone.

Before anyone says anything about losing money or whatever I live in a state where heavily tattooed dancers are pretty abundant. I also have a full entire sleeve on the side my hand is being tattooed.

Anyways, anyone else who’s gotten their hand tattooed, how long before you went back to work??
I’m getting the back of my hand pretty covered (no knuckles or fingers tho) in a couple weeks. I already planned about 11 days off, but I’m wondering if that’s enough? If you have gotten hands tattooed lmk your experience please. I have lots of experience getting tattooed and returning to work in about a week but I know hands are different healing time wise

Maybe this is a hot take, but the comments on a previous post I read was really bothering me. I’m really passionate about this subject because especially in this day and age of social media and how badly it has affected women’s perspective of their own bodies and how much body dysmorphia is effecting a lot of us.

I want to start off by saying I am not against plastic surgery, Botox, filler or whatever kind of work you can get done to your body. At all. It actually brings me joy and happiness to see my friends and other dancers gain confidence within themselves when they get a breast augmentation or some lip filler for example.

Where I draw the line is bitches tell other girls to get work done because they don’t fit the current beauty standards or aren’t conventionally attractive. Getting work done is NOT always the answer to our problems. Especially in this industry I don’t think it’s very productive to tell each other we need to get work done to make money. If you want to get work done for YOURSELF, amazing!!! 100% support. But idk it’s crazy to me to get a whole operation such as breast augmentation or a BBL just because you think it will change your money, but in reality you wouldn’t have EVER thought about getting any of this work done if you weren’t working in the club. Plus it’s extremely dangerous. I had a friend almost die from a BREAST augmentation. Not even a BBL which is most fatal.

Plus, getting work done isn’t cheap if done right. Not everyone has the privilege to be like oh I’m gonna go get filler today and drop a few hundred. Super tone deaf to see those kinds of comments.

Idk this is just my hot take but I think changing how your make up looks/learning how to do make up to enhance your features, getting some flattering outfits, and experimenting with your looks can go way further than just jumping to a solution of getting work done. It’s so normalized these days and it is disturbing and I blame social media and society.
