I think my mother knows !

Lately, I’ve found myself thinking back on several small incidents that, put together, make me believe my mother probably knows I wear protective gear.....just moments that, in hindsight, seem pretty obvious. The first time was a few weeks ago. I had just woken up and was still a bit groggy; I was wearing just a T-shirt and my protective gear, which was hidden under a black outer layer that wasn't very noticeable. My mother needed to check something on my PC, so she sat down next to me. I tried to position myself so it wouldn't show, but she eventually asked:

> "What are you wearing?"

I replied that it was just my underwear. She didn't say anything else and walked away. A few days later, same situation, same question:

> "What are you wearing?"

Same answer from me, and she left again as if nothing had happened. Then there was the day I was working a 12-hour shift. Before leaving, I had changed my protective gear and hastily stuffed my onesie into the pillowcase. When I got home that evening, I found my bed made with clean sheets... and the pillowcase changed too—with my onesie still inside it. So yes: she definitely saw it. And recently, there was a detail that made me pause. For context: I’m not incontinent, but I’ve always had a temperamental digestive system; I’ve been taking laxatives since I was little—my parents used to give them to me back then. As far as they were concerned, that phase was long over. Except I’m still taking them. And one day, when we had a guest over who has the same problem, my mother asked me:

> "Don't you have a laxative for her?"

As if she knew I still had some. When I put it all together... I really get the feeling she’s figured it out. Maybe she has for a long time. Maybe she’s just waiting for me to bring it up. Maybe she couldn't care less. But I think she knows.

What do you think of this ?
