How do you store garments that are showing signs of deterioration or fusion?
My chlorinated catsuit has signs of fusion. I had to peel the legs apart and those areas are no longer smooth. The whole suit is shined and the damage is only noticeable when touched. It’s been hanging in my shower, cleaned and shined since Friday.
For storing, I’m considering two options:
Hang it in a long cotton garment bag. Idk if this will cause a bad reaction or just leave the suit with some lint (not a big deal for me). Pro - I might wear it more often. Con - the closet is a more active space, perhaps less safe than being bagged and boxed.
My other thought was to layer it in tissue paper so nothing makes contact and then bag it like usual. Pros/cons - inverse of option 1, plus possibility of further fusion.

I want to address this idea that latex can’t be stored touching itself. This doesn’t make sense to me. I shine my suits in a shiner bath, inside and out. The insides of the garment are always touching when bagged — this is likely the case with 99.9% of the latex clothes on Earth.
