I hope this is okay to ask. I have been thinking about this for a while now and feel a bit shy posting it. In a traditional 1950s domestic discipline dynamic, when the wife misbehaves or shows disrespect, she should undoubtedly be spanked otk. and this disciplinary action should be commited by her husband. But would you give her bare bottom spankings in front of the children?

I know it might sound strict, but I truly believe it could be a good teaching tool. It would show the kids that no one is above the rules. not even Mommy. If they saw me being taken over the knee and properly punished when I fail in my duties, it might help them learn real respect, responsibility, and that there are real consequences for bad behavior. It would make it clear that the rules apply to everyone in the house.

I am still unsure though. Would you do it? Do any of you spank your wife in front of the kids? Has it helped teach them about authority and accountability? I would really appreciate any gentle advice or honest experiences.
