Would like to get your recommendations.

I'm between two sizes. As my penis is quite meaty, especially thick, in the shop the salesman and I tried the bfg and one size smaller which must have been the R+ cage. Both in wide.

Ofcourse I was a bit aroused and packed both cages. Both felt incredibly good. We chose the bfg because I wear my foreskin behind the glans, the head packs the compartment perfectly when erect. The foreskin remains on the shaft-section in the cage. My skin bulges out the openings when he tries to get fully erect. It looked a bit better with the bfg.

Now I've worn the cage several times and it still feels fantastic. When fully flaccid, I leave about a centimeter (about,0.4 inch) of length left in the head compartment.

I can still change the cage as I have a trial period. I don't know if I have to do that.

I'm already very happy with the current results but there may be reasons to go for the size smaller.

Would the size smaller be a better fit? I know that it is better to go for a smaller size if in between two sizes.

What would be the benefit?
