In my country (France) when they don’t want to give you benzo most of the time they give you something that kinda knock you out (not in a pleasant way) and doesn’t really work on anxiety mostly hydroxyzine or cyamemazine (you’re lucky if they don’t give you something stronger like lepticur which made my friend 55% blind temporarily)
