Can music become a Dom?

For the past few years, I've been experimenting with an idea that grew out of my interest in BDSM dynamics and the physical power of music.
Instead of having a person decide when you're allowed to orgasm...
What if the music decided?
For those unfamiliar with edging, it's the practice of repeatedly approaching orgasm without allowing yourself to climax immediately. The combination of anticipation, control, and denial often makes the eventual release much more intense.
I started building sessions around that principle.
The structure is always the same:
🎵 First track: build arousal while remaining completely in control. No orgasm allowed.
🎵 Second track: stay right on the edge until a specific musical cue—a chorus, a drop, an orchestral climax—becomes your permission to let go.
🎵 Third track: slow down, breathe, and enjoy the aftercare.
The interesting part is that music becomes an invisible dominant.
It dictates the pace.
It tells you when to wait.
It tells you when you're finally allowed to surrender.
Over time, I've created more than 50 sessions inspired by artists and movie soundtracks such as Hans Zimmer, Eric Prydz, Daft Punk, M83, Lana Del Rey, French 79, Interstellar, Drive, Kill Bill, and many others.
I'm curious whether anyone else has explored something similar.
Have you ever used music as part of a D/s or edging scene?
Are there songs or soundtracks that naturally make you feel more submissive, focused, or emotionally vulnerable?
If you had to build the perfect "Musical Edging" session, which tracks would you choose?
I'd genuinely love to hear your experiences and discover new music that creates that same feeling of control and anticipation.
