“SHE WALKED OUT OF A SOUTH FLORIDA NIGHTCLUB. THREE DAYS LATER, SHE WAS FOUND IN BISCAYNE BAY.
THE DEATH OF KEISHA NICOLE JONES
Miami-Dade County, Florida | June 29, 2026
Thirty-one-year-old Keisha Nicole Jones had recently moved from Detroit, Michigan, to South Florida.
According to her father, Richard Furlow, she was working as an exotic dancer while trying to redirect her life and build a better future.
Instead, her life ended under circumstances that remain unanswered.
On the morning of Friday, June 26, 2026, Keisha was last seen leaving Dean's Gold, a gentlemen's club in North Miami Beach, at approximately 6:00 a.m.
Investigators determined that she left the area in a rideshare and later traveled to Scarlett's Cabaret in Hallandale Beach.
Surveillance footage captured Keisha outside the club holding hands with an unidentified man.
That was the last confirmed sighting of her.
Three days later, on the morning of June 29, 2026, Keisha's body was discovered floating in Biscayne Bay near the NOAA research facility on Virginia Key—approximately 21 miles from where she was last seen.
As investigators worked to determine what happened, the case drew the attention of federal authorities.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) assumed the lead role in the investigation, while local agencies deferred operational updates to federal investigators.
As of July 2026, authorities have not publicly released Keisha's cause of death, have not ruled her death a homicide, and have not identified any suspects.
Investigators and Keisha's family are asking for the public's help identifying the unknown man seen with her in surveillance footage and determining how she ultimately ended up in Biscayne Bay.
