Our longtime bull moved overseas. How do couples safely find someone new?
Note: I am not here to looking for a guy so please.
My wife and I had an arrangement with one of our employee for several years. It started unexpectedly after we became close outside of work and realized there was mutual interest. We discussed boundaries carefully, kept everything consensual, and made sure the personal dynamic never affected his job, salary, our privacy and or treatment at work.
Over time, he became someone we trusted completely. He understood our relationship, respected every boundary, and never caused tried to interfere with our marriage. The arrangement worked so naturally that we never had to think about how difficult it might be to replace that level of trust.
He recently accepted a job in Saudi Arabia and moved away. We are still on good terms, but that part of our lives has obviously ended. My wife and I have talked about eventually meeting someone new, but starting again with a stranger feels risky. It's been more than year, we discuss but never tried seriously or found anyone.
For couples who have successfully found a long-term bull, how did you meet him? Did you use apps, websites, or someone already in your social circle?
More importantly, how did you judge whether someone was trustworthy and emotionally stable? Were there particular questions you asked or warning signs you looked for before meeting privately?
Interested to hear how other couples approached the screening process and how long it took before they felt comfortable trusting someone.
