Yeah, the thought occurred to me that these two would be good friends if they met. Yaya (from Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs) is the chill BFF roommate a lot of miserable boys need in their lives. I can see Rito enjoying her company, and it'd be nice seeing another girl Rito would be comfortable with, since there are too many who either objectify or abuse him (especially Nemesis, who has to be one of the worst anime characters I've ever seen).

I cannot be the only one who thinks Yaya is A-Tier as a cat girl, and her design choices were amazing too.

No, To Love Ru isn’t continuing as a new series.

After TLR Darkness ended, 17 new TLR chapters were released between 2017 and 2026:

1. (2017) Multiplication Part 1

2. (2017) Multiplication Part 2

3. (2018) Rito Turns into a Thermometer

4. (2019) Rito & Sayaka After School

5. (2019) Rito Takes a Bath with Momo

6–15. (2020-2021) Ten short 3-page chapters included in the TLR Darkness Bunko Edition

16. (2023) Mikan & Maruru

17. (2026) Rito☆Slime, which was just released yesterday

The problem is that these chapters were originally published in thicc hundreds-pages magazines. So if you wanted to collect them all, it was pretty difficult because you would have to buy every single magazine, from Japan. Those magazines contained hundreds of pages of content from various series, while the To Love Ru chapters only took up around 20 pages each.

Another thing is like buying the complete TLR Darkness set, volumes 1–18, only for a reprint to suddenly be released with a new chapter added at the very end. If you already owned the original volumes, you’d be out of luck because those new chapters wouldn’t be included in your collection, only on those new Bunko-reprints.

So, eventually, all 17 of these chapters were collected together and published as a separate volume called “To Love Ru Parade.”
