First of all, I am really happy to have found this reddit community. I am pretty intrigued by the idea of waking up wet, have worn every now and then at night, but never fully committed.
Just moved to a state with a pretty hot climate, and prefer not to rely on AC too much. Before buying a mattress protector, I was wondering what this means for feeling sweaty / cooling performance of my mattress. I found Options at ikea for around 50 usd for a queen size.
What are your thoughts on this?

Some years ago, around 2018-19 I used abena M4s with foil outer shell in Europe and really liked them. Since I'm now in the US, the plastic M4s are available again for rather decent prices. Around 70 usd for 42 diapers.
My goto diaper in Europe would have been Betterdry. But after years, I wanted to wear the M4s again. Also because they are slightly cheaper.
I read mixed experiences though, are they still any good? Would you still recommend them? Are there any better alternatives?
