Birthday Gift From One Of My Subs 🖤
I’m obsessed with this set I just received as birthday present from my sub. I love how he knew exactly what to get his mistress and how he notices the little things about me 🖤 I cannot wait to see what the rest of the week holds for me now 🖤
I know you want to worship me Those toes are ready for your mouth to be around them while you worship what’s in front of you Or maybe I tease and deny you while you’re at work with what you just can’t have ?
What was the moment you realised submission was right for you?
After more than 10 years as a Professional Dominatrix, one thing I've learned is that every submissive has a different story.
There isn't one "right" way to discover submission. For some, it's something they've always known. For others, it takes years of self-discovery, meeting the right person, or finding the confidence to explore that side of themselves.
I'm genuinely interested in hearing your journey.
What was the moment you realised submission was right for you?
Was it a particular experience? A conversation? A relationship? Or are you still figuring it out?
Over the coming weeks, I'd love to create a series of videos where I read and discuss some of your responses (with your permission or anonymously if you prefer). My goal is to help educate people about BDSM and power exchange, challenge common misconceptions, and encourage more open-minded conversations.
I think it's important that people hear not only a Dominant's perspective, but also the experiences of submissives themselves.
There are no right or wrong answers here, just real stories from real people.
I'd love to read yours. 🖤

Mistress Raya on Power, Psychology, and the Business Nobody Talks About
I recently had the opportunity to be featured in an article where I spoke in depth about my experiences as a Professional Dominatrix, the realities of the industry, and some of the misconceptions people often have about the work that I do.
One of the things I discussed was how much of my work actually revolves around psychology, communication, trust, boundaries, and understanding people on a deeper level.
It's interesting because many people assume dominance is simply about control, when in reality some of the most meaningful dynamics I've experienced have been built on vulnerability, honesty, and connection.
Here’s my more in depth answers:
You operate as an experienced Domme in Melbourne, a city with its own distinct creative and alternative subcultures. How would you describe the current landscape for professional BDSM and Femdom in Melbourne?
Melbourne is probably one of the easiest cities in Australia to do this work in because people are generally far more open-minded. It's a true 24-hour city with a strong creative culture, and that naturally overlaps with alternative lifestyles. Most people know Melbourne for its art, music and nightlife scene, but we also have one of the largest and most active kink communities in the country.
Over the years I've worked in other cities, including Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and the difference is noticeable. Melbourne has more community events, more education, more lifestyle spaces and generally more acceptance. People are exposed to different ways of living, so there's often less judgement and more curiosity. Saints And Sinners perfect example of this.
What concerns me is how much social media has changed the perception of Femdom. I see a lot of content online portraying it as easy money or a quick way to make cash, and I think that's incredibly misleading. Professional domination isn't about putting on an outfit and telling someone what to do. It's psychology. It's communication. It's understanding people.
Whether it's financial domination, obedience training or psychological control dynamics, you're dealing with real people and real vulnerabilities. To do this properly, you need emotional intelligence, patience and a genuine understanding of human behaviour.
The online side of the industry has definitely grown, and that's brought more visibility, but visibility doesn't always equal understanding. I think the challenge moving forward is making sure education keeps up with popularity. The people who do this work professionally know that there's a huge difference between performing dominance and actually understanding the responsibility that comes with it.
Your profile highlights 'immersive BDSM experiences' and 'online sessions.' Mainstream society often views kink purely through a physical lens, completely missing the deep emotional and psychological underpinnings. How do you construct an immersive scene for a client, and what is the real nature of the emotional labor involved in holding space for someone’s deepest desires and vulnerabilities?
I've definitely noticed a shift in who is reaching out and what they're looking for.
These days I'm seeing far more professionals, business owners and people in high-pressure careers making contact. The stereotype of who participates in BDSM really doesn't match reality anymore. A lot of the people reaching out are highly successful in their everyday lives.
What's changed most is the type of dynamics people are interested in. Years ago, there was a stronger focus on physical BDSM. Now I see far more interest in psychological dynamics, power exchange, service, obedience and ongoing Domme/sub relationships. People aren't just looking for an experience anymore. They're looking for connection, structure and consistency.
At the same time, the growth of social media has created a lot more curiosity around the lifestyle, which is both good and bad. More people are discovering BDSM and Femdom, but many are discovering it through highly curated content that doesn't necessarily reflect reality.
That means professionals are spending more time educating people, explaining boundaries and managing expectations. There's also a huge increase in low-effort enquiries, time-wasters and people who don't understand the difference between fantasy and professional services.
I think that's one of the biggest changes I've noticed. The genuine clients are often more informed than they've ever been, but the volume of people with unrealistic expectations has also increased dramatically.
It makes screening and communication more important than ever. The positive side is that conversations around consent, boundaries and power exchange have become much more mainstream. That's something I never saw when I first entered the industry, and I think it's one of the healthiest changes the community has experienced.
Navigating both discreet incalls and online sessions requires two very different skill sets. How does the dynamic of dominance, containment, and connection translate when you move from a physical dungeon space into the digital, online sphere? What are the challenges of projecting power and intimacy across a screen?
One of the biggest misconceptions people have is that online work is somehow easier than in-person work. In my experience, they're completely different skill sets.
When people meet Mistress Raya in person, they generally know exactly what they're coming for. My in-person work is centred around Femdom, BDSM, power exchange and creating immersive experiences tailored to the individual. There are boundaries around that work and a very clear understanding of what I offer.
Online is a different world entirely.
Long before Mistress Raya existed, there was simply Raya. My online presence was built around connection, content creation, conversation and personal interaction. Over the years that audience has grown into a mix of people seeking very different things. Some are interested in Femdom and BDSM dynamics, while others are looking for a more vanilla experience, companionship, conversation or simply a connection with the person behind the persona.
Managing those two worlds can be challenging because they're both authentic parts of me. I'm not playing a character when I'm Mistress Raya, but I'm also not only Mistress Raya. There is a balance between maintaining a professional Dominant presence while still being approachable, personable and genuine in other areas of my work.
The biggest challenge isn't projecting power through a screen. The biggest challenge is understanding what someone is actually seeking and meeting them where they are.
In person, I have access to body language, energy and the environment around us. Online, I lose a lot of those cues. Everything comes down to communication. I have to read between the lines, pay attention to how people express themselves and understand what they're really looking for. Often what someone initially asks for isn't actually what they need.
The emotional side of the work is something people rarely talk about. Clients don't arrive as blank slates. They bring stress, loneliness, insecurities, fantasies, past experiences and sometimes emotional baggage with them. As a professional, you're constantly navigating those things while maintaining boundaries and ensuring the experience remains healthy and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Then there's the less glamorous side.
The endless messages, the people who don't read advertisements, the unrealistic expectations, the time-wasters and those who believe they are entitled to your attention simply because they sent a message. A large part of this job isn't spent in sessions at all. It's spent communicating, screening, managing expectations and protecting your own energy.
That's something I think many people underestimate. There is a real emotional cost to holding space for other people day after day. You're often receiving vulnerability, carrying responsibility and managing emotions while also running a business and maintaining your own wellbeing.
At the end of the day, whether I'm working online as Raya or in person as Mistress Raya, the common thread is still people. Every interaction is built on communication, understanding and connection. The tools may change, the platform may change and the dynamic may change, but human nature doesn't. People want to feel seen, understood and accepted, and creating that experience takes far more work than most people realise.
Having done articles before, you’re likely familiar with the clichés mainstream media uses when writing about professional Dominatrices. What is the one truth about your profession, your intellect, or your daily business operations that you feel mainstream journalism consistently gets wrong or fails to understand?"
The biggest thing mainstream media gets wrong is that they assume the job starts when a session begins.
Most articles focus on the outfits, the dungeon, the power exchange or the shock value because that's what grabs attention. What they rarely show is everything that happens before and after those moments.
The reality is that I'm running a business.
On any given day I'm managing bookings, screening clients, answering enquiries, maintaining websites, creating content, marketing, scheduling tours, handling finances, writing articles, maintaining social media platforms and communicating with clients. That's before I've even stepped into a session.
I think people would be surprised by how much psychology is involved as well. A large part of my work is understanding people. Understanding what motivates them, what they're looking for, what they're struggling with and sometimes what they're not saying out loud.
Many clients arrive carrying stress, loneliness, pressure, insecurities or parts of themselves they don't feel comfortable sharing elsewhere. You're not simply facilitating a fantasy. You're managing expectations, building trust, maintaining boundaries and creating an environment where people feel safe enough to be honest.
What often gets overlooked is the emotional labour involved. People see the Dominant side of the dynamic and assume you're the one holding all the power. What they don't see is the responsibility that comes with that position. You're holding space for other people's vulnerabilities while simultaneously managing your own wellbeing.
I also think mainstream media tends to underestimate the intelligence required to do this work well. Good domination isn't about being the loudest person in the room or wearing the most intimidating outfit. It's about observation, communication, adaptability and understanding human behaviour. Some of the most valuable skills I've developed in this industry have nothing to do with BDSM and everything to do with psychology, business and emotional intelligence.
The other thing people rarely understand is that many of us are constantly balancing multiple roles. For example, my online presence existed long before Mistress Raya became my full professional identity. Online, I cater to a broad audience with different interests and expectations. In person, my work is centred around Femdom and BDSM. Managing those different spaces, audiences and expectations requires far more strategy than most people realise.
If I'm honest, I think the biggest misconception is that this is easy.
People see the finished product. They see the photos, the content, the sessions and the social media posts. What they don't see are the years of experience, the emotional energy, the business skills, the screening, the planning and the countless hours that happen behind the scenes.
The session is often the smallest part of the job. The real work happens long before someone walks through the door.

"Reflections From My Recent Albury Tour: The Human Side Of BDSM & Femdom"
When I announced my recent Albury tour, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect.
Every tour is different. Every city has its own energy, its own personalities and its own stories. What I love most about travelling isn't simply meeting new people it's seeing the incredible diversity that exists within our community.
Over the course of my time in Albury, I met individuals from all walks of life. Some were experienced and confident in their interests, while others were stepping into this world for the very first time. The experiences themselves varied greatly, from worship and devotion-based dynamics through to humiliation themes, pegging experiences and deeply personalised roleplay scenarios.
One particular session involved a highly immersive sissification dynamic that was equal parts intense, emotional and surprisingly vulnerable. Another focused almost entirely on service, structure and connection. What stood out wasn't necessarily the activities themselves it was the trust each person placed in me and the opportunity to create an experience tailored specifically to them.
Something I've always believed is that people often arrive thinking they're seeking one thing, only to discover they're actually looking for something much deeper.
Sometimes it's confidence.
Sometimes it's acceptance.
Sometimes it's simply the opportunity to be themselves without judgement.
Over the years, I've learned that the most meaningful part of my work isn't the dynamic itself. It's the conversation beforehand. It's taking the time to understand who someone is, what draws them to this world and what they hope to gain from the experience.
One review from my recent Albury tour captured that better than I ever could:
"I saw Raya in Albury when she was on tour in June 2026. From first contact to book the appointment to sending the 'I arrived home safe' text after the booking, it was all care, class and respect.
Raya's unique in the way she is able to pull you out of your shell and engage with you in conversation. It creates a real safe environment for any level of play.
Once the session is over, she genuinely wants your opinion on what she can change or add to make it better—not just for yourself if you see her again, but for anyone who has the pleasure of visiting Mistress Raya."
— Tiny
Reading feedback like this means more to me than people probably realise.
The reality is that creating meaningful experiences takes time, effort and genuine care. It's not simply about what happens during an appointment. It's about communication, understanding, preparation and creating an environment where someone feels comfortable enough to be vulnerable.
Albury was a reminder of why I continue doing what I do after more than a decade in the industry.
Not because every session is the same.
But because every person is different.
To everyone who reached out, booked, shared their story or trusted me during my time there
Thank you
I look forward to returning soon.
Do SB’s in Australia find it hard to find a legitimate SD ?
Has sugar dating in Australia changed? Genuine question from an SB.
I’m an Australian SB and have had multiple long-term arrangements over the years, but lately I can’t help but feel like things aren’t as legitimate as they used to be.
Maybe it’s just me, but it feels like there are far more time wasters, people wanting unrealistic expectations, fake profiles, people blurring lines, or men wanting the benefits of an arrangement without genuinely understanding what a mutually beneficial dynamic looks like.
In the past, I found it easier to meet genuine, respectful SDs who valued consistency, communication, chemistry and understood the nature of an arrangement.
These days it feels very different.
I’m genuinely curious if other Australian SBs are finding the same thing?
Has the sugar scene changed here? Are the apps just worse now? Or are people finding better success through other methods, networking or freestyling?
Would genuinely love to hear other people’s experiences, whether good or bad.
