I knew this would eventually happen—wasn’t prepared for it to happen so quick.

I always knew my real life and escort life would eventually cross paths. I just genuinely did not think it would happen this fucking fast.

Within the last 24 hours, my hometown suddenly showed up heavily in my profile analytics when it hadn’t been there before, and the Instagram I made for my provider persona started suggesting people from my real life—including my kid’s stepmom. I deleted the Instagram, but at this point I’m pretty sure somebody connected the dots.

I don’t even know what the point of this post is. Partly venting, partly asking what other providers did when this happened. I knew being recognized was a risk I was willing to accept, and I’m not ashamed of what I do. It’s the loss of control over who knows, when they know, and how far it spreads that is freaking me out.

For anyone who has had their escort identity connected to their real one: what happened next? Did you eventually just come out and tell your close relatives, or did they ask you directly? Did people mostly lurk and gossip and eventually get bored, or did it actually escalate? Did you change anything about how you advertised or handled social media, or did you just keep moving forward like normal?

KCMO provider traveling to Lake of the Ozarks — where do people actually advertise there?

I’m based in KCMO and currently advertise pretty much exclusively on Tryst. I’ll be spending some time at Lake of the Ozarks and would like to make the trip worthwhile while I’m there.

I’ve checked Tryst and don’t see many people advertising specifically around the lake, so I’m curious what has actually worked for people who’ve traveled there before.

I’m specifically wondering:

What sites/platforms get traction around the lake?

Do you advertise under Osage Beach, Lake Ozark, Jefferson City, Columbia, or somewhere else?

Is it worth posting a travel notice ahead of time, or is that market more last-minute?

Any location-specific screening/safety issues you’d tell another provider to watch for?

Not asking anyone to hand over their entire playbook. Just trying to figure out where clients in that area actually look, because Tryst seems pretty quiet there.

It’s hard to convince myself to go back inside…

Nothing makes me hate my civilian job more than realizing I’m spending two weeks here to earn what I can make in two hours escorting.

I know escorting isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. I know it’s inconsistent. I know there are tradeoffs.

What really gets me is knowing that while I’m stuck here, I could be somewhere else actually making money. Instead, I’m at work watching inquiries come in that I can’t take because I’m on the clock.

I spend most of my shift trying to convince myself it would be okay to leave and take one of these inquiries.

I do not want to go back inside after this break.
