Material help for a newbie
Got me a Qidi Q2, and I am trying to figure out what filament I should be using, and what finish. I'd like to be quite a bit confident hygiene-wise, and am based in europe, if you have sourcing advice.
Thanks, all!

So, title! I'm looking for something more sophisticated than a straight circular shape, to figure out sizes. Plan's to print it in PLA as disposable prototypes, then move to vapor-smoothed ABS for the real thing.
So, ABS is a safe plastic according to the wiki here, and it's also a plastic that can be 3D printed.
Another thing it can do is be put in a jar with some cotton soaked in acetone, and then the fumes will melt the surface, making it melt into a smooth polish, like an injection-molded finish.
Now on one hand, sanitation definitely improves with a smooth surface rather than tiny ridges (or even the micro-scratches of sanding).
Does anyone happen to know if there's any safety issues with that, or is it acceptable/a good practice?
