How do you guys get addicted?

I see so many people posting about addiction and heavy use cycles and I just don't understand how people get addicted to ket. I've done ket hundreds of times, every time I do it I'll go through maybe .5-1g in a weekend, and then after that I feel so crusty and stupid and I won't want to do it again for at least a few weeks but often a month or two, or three or four. I'm assuming addicts are just doing it at home and constantly redosing? How does this addiction work for you guys.

I feel like opioids could be a good treatment for ADHD

I've had ADHD medications in the past like Dexamphetamine, Vyvanse and Ritalin and they have had some positive effects on me. However recently I've been taking Oxycodone for an unrelated injury and I've accidentally realised that opioids are actually a fantastic treatment for ADHD, at least for me anyway. They are calming and they motivate me to do every day tasks like cleaning the house and also to enjoy getting out of the house going for a walk. Stimulants also motivate me too, but in a more tense and crazy way.

Now obviously there's many downsides to opioids, with the main one being the potential for addiction and abuse, and secondarily the drowsiness and nausea. It's also much shorter acting. So it's not as practical overall, but when it's actually working, it's a great state to be in. Has anyone else had a similar observation?

Rank the following: crackhead, methhead, heroin junkie

Who is the best one to be around when they're high? Who is the worst one to be around when they're coming down or without their supply? Who creates more chaos and destruction around them? Who is doing the most damage to their body?

Have been doing Oxycodone for 2 weeks, haven't been able to understand the hype

Reposting as I had a typo in the title. As the title says. I've been doing 10-20mg over the day (5mg pills). I have had moments of nice highness and relaxation, but hasn't been as extremely euphoric and pleasurable as I've seen people describing. It feels similar to having a bump or 2 of ketamine, nothing too crazy.

When I try to increase dosage (for example taking 10mg and then after another 2 hours 10mg), it often just leads to nausea or drowsiness. I thought I would have built up a bit more of a tolerance to the side effects by now. What am I doing wrong? Is it that heroin or whatever is just that much better than oxys? I have also tried with Tapentadol and similar thing.

I realised with opiates you can't keep redosing all day

I think with doing opioids recreationally you have to aim for one window of being high per day with a couple of redoses max. If you try to keep redosing constantly all day you will have a few hours high at the start and then the rest that day won't hit the same. And then as you increase dosage to chase the high you get the increased side effects too like nausea and drowsiness and stuff. It's not like for example ketamine where you can keep redosing and getting back to the same high state easily with limited side effects. This is referring to recreational use not pain relief which is often a smaller dosage where you're not looking for a high.

Edit- this is just my own personal experience as a new user. Likely the side effects stack for me because my body isn't used to them. As tolerance builds, resistance to the side effects likely builds too. I am used to drugs you can keep redosing, like ket or coke. Your mileage may vary.

Oxycodone and nausea

What causes nausea with oxys some days and other days not? How to reduce it? Is it dose dependant? Or depends on food timing? I have been taking ondansetron sometimes, that has been helping.

Oxycodone is so much better than Tapentadol

Oxycodone feels clean and consistent. Only side effects are drowsiness and nausea.

Tapentadol feels dirty, gives me a bit of anxiety, makes me feel mentally scattered.

I feel like opiates have an adaptation period before they're good

Finally got some opiates (oxycodone 5mg) and have been experimenting with them. I feel like they have a bit of an adaptation period before they are good. For the first week trying them I would either feel nothing, or take more then feel tired or nauseous. After around a week I can now take 10 or 15mg and actually feel good. I almost feel as though your body needs to get used to them or something? Is this normal?

Oxycodone and Tapentadol dosage question

Hi guys. Just wondering what's a good medium sized recreational dose of Tapentadol (instant release) or Oxycodone?

Give me 2 dosage recommendations- one for no tolerance and another for small tolerance (for example taking oxys or taps for around a week).

Tapentadol ER dosage

Hey all. What's the recommended dosage for Tapentadol?

Been on oxys for 5 days (around 5mg x 4 per day). Now switched over to Tapentadol extended release 50mg. I had one, waited a couple hours, now waited another 3 hours can I take another 50mg now? Not feeling too much. If I crush it and put it into water will that make it instant release?

Not interested in the extreme end like meth and heroin

Which drugs mix best with opiates?

Opiates- which drugs play best with them? I'm thinking maybe ketamine, psychedelics, potentially weed. For the opiates themselves I'm thinking mid level opiates like Oxycodone, Tapentadol stuff like that. What do you guys think?
