Where i live there is only a few dxm containing products (all of wich are syrups) the one i buy, that has the highest dxm per ml, is this disgusting artificial overly sweet cherry flavour, the first time i dosed it it didnt taste that bad and i was able to get it down within like a minute with no water or other chasers and got no nausea or vomit reflex either, but with every time that ive gotten high on it since, it gets progressivly worse and last time i littearly got nauseous just from the smell alone and it took me like 10mins to get down and i just kept gagging between each gulp the nausea remained for a while after drinking it, not only that but now littearly any cherry flavoured liquids (or their smell) make me nauseous😭(not that i really liked cherry flavoured things to begin with). But yeah anyone else experience this lol?
This community worries me with the overwhelming number of users who seemingly don’t care about their health and wellbeing at all. Day after day, there are posts saying “tripping rn” by individuals who do third plats multiple times a week. Then come the posts about ignoring the warnings of other active ingredients like guaifenesin, acetaminophen, and doxylamine. Even if you truly don’t personally care about your health, don’t normalize it for other users among whom are possibly new and susceptible.

Took a DXM base cough syrup arnd 50 ml of it [150mg dxm] and its been 2 hours and I feel nothing , what am I doing wrong ????

Obviously a lot of people just don’t enjoy dxm, but there could be an explanation for the hate. Lots of dxm products contain other harmful ingredients and a very large percentage of the people who use dxm use a product with these other ingredients. Lots of these products contain doxylamine, which is a deleriant. Most products have about 15 mgs per serving, and most people would have to take at least 10 times that does to experience any dissociative affects, which also means 10 times the doxylamine. So inorder to achive a high from products with both ingredients, youd have to take enough to experience a deleriant high to, which is NOT in any way fun. So maybe the deleriants just fucking up the affects of the dxm and ruining the high for most people??
Me and my friend are planning for an about plat 2 dose (330mg for me and 270mg for him) and we spontaneously took 90mg on a school trip, so we could test for enzyme deficiency. It wasn’t like anything crazy, but we definitely felt something. It’s just strange to me that I see also first timers doing 150mg and feeling nothing and even weigh less than us.
Since we took the test dose with 2 others and we all felt very similar, I don’t think that it’s possible that all 4 of us have the deficiency.
What can this be?
