Full face leather hood with a lockable zipper mouth

Made this full face leather hood for a client using really supple Italian nappa sheepskin. Added a zipper for the mouth part with a padlock. Stitched a collar on just above the hem with a lockable buckle. Added D-rings to the collar and to the top of the hood. Kept all the hardware silver. Very happy how this came out 🥰

Padded leather collars with engraving and silver hardware

I made these padded leather collars for a customer by dyeing veg tan leather with an alcohol based dye since. The green dye, I used as is but the pink I diluted 1:4 with methylated spirits (~95% ethanol I think). Had to do test these on small off cuts to get an idea on how many layers I needed to apply to get the desired colour. Moisturised the leather well post colouring to make sure the alcohol didn’t stiffen it a lot. Made sure I lined/covered the soft padding with Italian Nappa sheepskin for a more ‘luxurious’ feel. Added a centre D-ring. Kept all the hardware silver. Would like to do black hardware at somepoint in the future if possible 🤔 used a centre bar buckle instead of a dog buckle and added grommets instead of having naked holes for the buckle. Black stitching on the green looks really nice but I would like to do maybe white or pink stitching for pink collars in the future. Loved how the engraving came out 👌🏻 overall, pretty happy how these came out and the customer was happy as well 🥰
