I was ghosted by the one sub I NEVER thought would do that
I've experienced enough ghostings during my 3 years online to fill a haunted house. When I first started, it would shake my self confidence a little whenever it happened. But, as time went on you kind of just learn that it's inherent in this space and to never fully trust the person on the other end claiming they want to be "yours forever".
However, last year I had a long term sub who I TRULY believed would never be the type to ghost. I can say all the cliché things about this dynamic and how we had a "genuine connection" and "friendship outside of kink". I won't bore you with that. We were coming up on a year of him being claimed (I don't like using the terms owned or ownership for online dynamics, but thats a post for a different day).
And ... poof. He ghosted me. And this wasn't like a slow burn to fizzle out type of ending. He just stopped answering me probably a week before the 1 year. No obvious reason why. No obvious issues at hand. I literally started searching obituaries in his area that's how shocked, concerned, flabbergasted shiver me timbers I was.
That was back in October. I've sent messages. I sent cheeky cashapp requests. Not a peep. Not a word. Not an emoji react. Nothing. THEN ON MY BIRTHDAY EARLIER THIS MONTH ... I awaken to a CashApp send right at midnight for $111 with a birthday cake emoji note.
And you know what? I WAS PISSED. I went through all the stages of grief about this dynamic only to be given a breadcrumb and pulled back in without closure. Still no messages or response or communication of any sort. But again, I won't bore you with that and stick to my group chats with other Domme friends to vent.
My whole point of this post is basically that in this strange world of online findom, anonymity and caution (with good reason) keeps you an arm's distance from people no matter how close you consider them or how well you trust them. I was ghosted by the one sub I NEVER thought would do that and it completely reshaped how I am moving forward in dynamics.
